I would just like to tell everyone about my expirience with shear cuts. I have A LOT of hair and it's tough to do anything with besides toss it in a pony tail. Shear cuts has always been my place to go for everything. I was excited to be in my sister in laws wedding party and be taken care of by such a great team to make my hair look amazing and actually hold in place the entire day and evening. It is a tough job for anyone. As for the rest of the ladies in the wedding party I was stunned at the outcome of theirs as well. Even the make up that was done amazed me. Truly wonderful work done by this salon. I also want to thank them for being a kind and professional part of making the brides day complete bliss. Thanks again shear cuts!!!

Shear Cuts provided the hair and makeup for my brother and sinter-in-laws 2/14/13 wedding, where I was a bridesmaid.

I have had the pleasure of attending and being in multiple weddings as well as working as a bridal consultant in New York and I must say that I have absolutely NOTHING negative to say about the services or outcomes we all received.

The contract was clear and the prices were clearly stated. I watched as they did the hair of my niece (a 3 year old) and the flexibility and ability to work with children was outstanding.

The bridal party felt like royalty and I watched as many regular costumers came and left satisfied. I know for a fact that if customers are unhappy with what they have done all they have to do is let the stylists know, and they will change it. For the wedding I had my eyebrows done (and I am VERY picky about my eyebrows) and at first they didn't look quite like I was wanting and all I said was "This isn't quite working for me" and she said something along the lines of "No problem, what isn't looking right?"

I have so many pictures of the wedding that demonstrate the quality of services we received. This salon and Hillary are welcome to provide my contact information to any bride or event that would like to hear for themselves!

Lastly, a few words I would use to describe the services we received: beautiful, professional, fun, friendly, flexible, accommodating, memorable, prepared, talented, and REFERABLE! (I could go on....all great things!!)

My daughter was married in September 1st and Hillary from Shear Cuts came intoher salon on a Sunday morning (holiday weekend) and worked all morning on our hair and make. The results were amazing. My granddaughter said I looked like a different person. Hilary is the best!

I choose Shear Cuts for my wedding because not only did I trust Hilary and her staff to have me looking my best on my wedding day but I knew that she would provide me with the the best service available in Vermont.

From signing the contract and working with my schedule for a consult (I live in California but had my wedding in Vermont) to day-of flexibility and efficiency, Hillary went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable and satisfied with my service. Hilary also has an unbeatable price and could charge much more considering what salons in the Burlington area charge for wedding services. She is humble and loves what she does and therefore charges accordingly. She was an absolute pleasure to work with. She also did my mom's hiar for the wedding and I think my mom got as many compliments on wedding day as I did.

I will say that everyone has their own taste and style but if you are looking for a classic, chic, romantic look on your wedding (who doesn't want that!?) then Shear Cuts is the place for you. Don't be fooled by reviews that say otherwise, Shear Cuts offers 5 star quality wedding services.

The words I am about to use to describe my experience at Shear Cuts are only on the surface, because I can't explain how deeply I feel about the compassion, the generosity, and the willing to please the staff demonstrated to me (as the bride) and to my whole wedding party, to include my 3 year old daughter. The atmosphere was pure comfort, walking into smiles from the staff, it started out my day of happiness with such ease. Given the time and flexibility to focus in on what each individual needed or wanted was the primary agenda from Shear Cuts personnel. I would HIGHLY recommend them to any wedding party, to experience such respect and desired attributes that any bride would wish for on her wedding day. I'm VERY pleased with this business. The pride they wear on their sleeves shows as soon as you step through their doors.

The ladies were absolutely amazing!!!!! I planned a wedding in ten days and the ladies were more than willing to help out with my friends wedding. The hair and make up was incredibly stunning! The staff was extremely nice and chatted with all of us. They were even great with a little one. I HIGHLY recommend using these ladies. Their professionalism and talent is more than enough to make your day perfect! 5 stars across the board!!!!

Hillary and Connie from Shear Cuts did the hair and makeup for the wedding. Working with them was great and everyone looked beautiful. They traveled to our venue really making the day go smoothly so I didn't have to worry about any traveling. They were easy to work with and really listened to my ideas and likes & dislikes - we all looked beautiful with modern, elegant styles.

The women at Shear Cuts are fantastic. Cheryl did my wedding hair and I loved it. I met with her for a consultation, we discussed my wedding day hair options and she styled it just as I wanted. They are all easy to work with and very flexible!

I was recently a bridesmaid at a wedding in Vermont. If I am to be completely honest regarding the services provided by this makeup and hair team - I would rate them well below average. I was 100% unhappy with my hair and makeup - and for almost $300...I should have felt like a beauty queen. Instead, I felt like a clown! I feel that the products that were used for makeup would normally be used by a teenager - not a professional makeup artist. Not only was I unhappy with the services, the prices were completely outrageous. There was a $30 (yes, THIRTY DOLLAR!) upcharge for false eyelash application! Being from the NY/NJ area, I know that this charge is a total rip off. With regards to my hair - I felt like I could have done my own hair better than how it was done. And I am, by NO means, good at doing hair! For simple curling and teasing, the money spent was not worth it whatsoever. The bride was quoted a price and we were all charged almost $100 more than the quoted price! I would never recommend the services of this salon to any brides/bridal parties in the VT area.
