My husband and I had the most incredible wedding celebration at The Sand Dollar Estate. After considering a St. Thomas resort wedding where we would be surrounded by hundreds of random people we didn't know and pay a fortune for "cookie cutter" selections, we stumbled upon the idea of a private villa wedding. Sand Dollar appealed to us for three initial reasons : private beach for our guests to enjoy, a full service house manager, no event fee. We were also immediately drawn to Suzanne and her prompt replies and professionalism. Our expectations were (by a long shot)- exceeded. The customer service that Suzanne, Mike, Monica, and the rest of the staff provide is outstanding. Suzanne was flexible and accommodating from the beginning. Mike supported us and our guests from arrival at the airport to departure, making sure our every need was met and every single worry was resolved. The house was stocked with provisions, for a very reasonable cost we had 2 meals prepared per day (huge convenience), and our guests were able to entertain themselves. As a result, I had the time to deal with wedding prep in the same way I would at a resort, without having to play host at the same time in a private villa. Some examples: The garment steamer was broken - Mike had a brand new one delivered on wedding morning no questions asked. Someone in our family doesn't eat butter - Monica had separate selections prepared for her at every meal. The water toys, privacy, and size of the property make it difficult to want to leave and explore the island. Having the ceremony and reception in one place saved time, effort, and money for both us, our vendors, and our guests. Everyone was wonderful and our wedding was perfection. The Sand Dollar experience is pure luxury, a once in a lifetime experience for many. We know without doubt we made the right choice and will cherish the memories for a lifetime.
