About this venue

Based in Benton, LA, Sainte Terre Estate is a beautiful 60-acre property with two, uniquely designed wedding venues.

We opened Sainte Terre in 2014 with a dream and an idea…to create a place made just for weddings. We wanted this to be a place where families could gather and couples could begin a new life free from the stress that comes with planning an event of this magnitude. We hoped to embrace the romance and reverence of what was to take place on this property - creating an experience that could be enjoyed and relished by our couples and their guests. After 9 years and hundreds of weddings, we feel honored to have had the opportunity to be a part of such a special day for so many couples.

Over the years we have added amazing talent to our team of wedding professionals, and we've expanded our grounds to include the one-of-a-kind open-air chapel nestled in the woods surrounding Sainte Terre. We're also thrilled to announce the most recent Sainte Terre expansion...The Stables at Sainte Terre! The Stables is designed to have a charming & modern vibe, with subtle nods to the horse ranch it once was. We creatively redesgned all of the existing structues and built a new reception space with ample space for dining, dancing and absolutely stunning details!

While we cater to current tastes and the latest styles, we believe that there are some things that never go out of fashion. Friends sharing warm conversation around a good meal, families celebrating the union of hearts—these are things that are timeless and that bring a pure joy that endures long after the flowers and decorations have faded. We believe that creating and orchestrating life’s special moments is an art—an art that we at Sainte Terre have worked for generations to perfect.

We didn’t want to leave!!!

I do not have the proper words to explain how incredible this venue and the team is. Five stars is just not enough! As soon as we chose this venue, the team went to work! They made our wedding planning process a breeze. From the decor, to the food, the flowers and the photography… I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect day.

Holly, Hillary, Kaleb, Derek and the rest of the Sainte Terre staff went above and beyond to make our day one that we will never forget. I am so thankful that we found this group of people. Hillary… I just dang love ya girl.

Best Venue in Louisiana

I had always dreamed of having a wedding in the woods, but in Louisiana, there isn't really a select venue for that. Now there is. We looked at so many places, but Sainte Terre made it happen. They REALLY made it happen. I showed Derek and Hillary my vision and they turned it into reality. Holly's food is the best! Two months later and I still have people telling me they tell everyone how beautiful and fun our wedding was, and how everything they ate was delicious. Shane and I could never thank these people enough for all they did; their whole team is a joy to work with.

Brides, if you're looking for a outdoorsy venue with a creative and supportive team - go straight to Sainte Terre!

I Would Go Back and Do It Again in a Heartbeat!!

I would completely, 1000% recommend Sainte Terre to every stranger on the street. They made me feel like an absolute queen leading up to and on my wedding day. Hillary was wonderful and extremely helpful in planning my wedding and acting as day of coordinator and Derek was fantastic with any of our needs. The food was phenomenal. In fact, it was so good, my family from down south said it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding and certainly outside of a wedding. And that's hard to admit for someone from South Louisiana! The venue itself was absolutely perfect and the ease of not needing to rent, set up, or clean up all decorations and settings made our experience just that much more wonderful. I would re-do our wedding at Sainte Terre 100 times if I could. I really could not say enough positive things about them!

So Worth It

Sainte Terre is so beyond worth it. They do everything except the flowers and gown. I mean who can beat that? And my foodie family? They RAVED about the food. It was the most amazing, relaxing, comforting experience I could have asked for.

From the first time I laid eyes on this place I knew it was the perfect place to have our wedding, and it was the best decision I’ve ever made other than saying I DO! This is hands down the best wedding venue and team in Louisiana and maybe even Texas. Derek, Holly and Hillary were AMAZING! From the moment we signed our contract till 3 months post wedding, they have made us feel so special like we were the only wedding that they have or will ever host.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon reliving every single perfect moment of our day. Obsessing over our guests photos and comments.

Everyone RAVED about how delicious the food was. We went with a simple menu with fried chicken (husband’s choice) and some of our guests are still asking when they will be opening a restaurant so they can COME BACK!

My wedding attendants can’t stop talking about how relaxed and easy the day was. Hillary handled everything. EVERYTHING. Even impressing my Mother. And for someone who manages events for a living, it was difficult for me to trust someone to just take the reins, but Hillary & Derek went above and beyond. I didn’t have a single care that day other than messing up my vows.

And the decor took my breath away! This place is beautiful with nothing added. Each visit made it harder to leave but Hillary knocked it out of the park, while still working with our budget. She gave us a design that was true to us, and different from any of the previous designs I had been obsessing over from the months leading up to our wedding.

So stop looking. The services and goods that are included in the event rental FAR surpass what you would spend if you attempted this on your own, and trust me it still wouldn’t be able to hold a candle to the things Hillary can do.

You can have it ALL at Sainte Terre, a beautiful venue, fantastic food, and the best event director/ decorator in the business! Go now before your date is gone!

Sainte Terre is simply amazing! The venue can transform to anything imaginable, the food is out of this world so tasty, and the staff become family! With my husband in surgical residency in NOLA and I practicing in my clinic in Monroe, our schedules were hectic to say the least! Hillary, Derek, and Holly took the ultimate stress off of us and helped make our wedding more beautiful than I could ever imagine keeping the focus on us and what we desired! I highly recommend this venue/family to help create one of the most important days in your life filled with love!

For a busy bride or a bride just anxious about planning a wedding, Saint Terre is perfect! They will do all your decorating for you after reviewing what you want with you. Hillary sat down with me and looked through all my pinterest photos and also created a new board with me that we both worked on in the months leading up to my wedding. The food was absolutely exceptional and now (2 years later) my guests still talk about how amazing our wedding was! Saint Terre is definitely worth every penny!

My fiancé, family, guests and I were absolutely blown away with Sainte Terre, not just the venue, but the family that works there. Everything was beyond perfect! My father told my mother several times that he was so happy we chose Sainte Terre, and he believed everyone had a great time! We highly recommend this wonderful venue and family!

As the mother of the bride,my daughter was excited about her engagement but knew that planning a wedding while finishing her PhD would be difficult. But at our initial meeting with Sainte Terre, her anxiousness turned to peace. From the moment we came up the drive and the little white chapel and the large gray barn came into view, Chelsea's face lit up and her smile stayed fixed from ear to ear! It truly was perfect for her and Thomas! They wanted a more traditional wedding with a French country flare (Chelsea spent a couple of years of high school near Paris, France) and a relaxed vibe. The Sainte Terre team helped us to make their wishes turn into a magical weekend! Derek and Hillary met with us several times, listening to what Chelsea had in mind and providing suggestions that added to the theme and beauty of the event. The cost of the venue included Hillary as an amazing wedding planner and decorator, the linens and table settings, an officiant - who did such a wonderful and personal job, the cake cutting, and much more! Hillary turned the facilities into what Chelsea dreamed about - complete with vines and trees, lights and lavender! We met with Holly to plan the food and can not say enough about her enthusiasm, ideas, and skills! The food perfectly complimented the French Country theme that Hillary and Derek helped us create, with an amazing cocktail hour that included a monogrammed baked brie in a pastry, warm mini baguettes, mushroom tarts, and mini quiche! All of this was enjoyed with a blackberry muddled champagne (thanks to Derek and Fete LA) that everyone raved about! From there, Holly created a French feast to include shrimp stuffed crepes with Mornay sauce, Gratin Dauphinois, Chicken Paillard, ratatouille, and mini French onion soups with gougeres! Everyone commented on the incredible food! We cannot say enough about the staff and facilities at Sainte Terre! So many of our guests told us that this was the most beautiful wedding they had ever attended!

We had three months to plan our wedding. I was so indecisive about where we should get married, because I wanted something different and beautiful. The Sainte Terre crew did everything to help my mom out with just a few meetings. I would choose this venue over and over again. They are the best in Shreveport/Bossier.

Also, as a wedding photographer, I love to photograph at this Benton venue. It is always a new experience, no matter how many times I shoot there.
