"The people that you work with are, when you get down to it, your very best friends."
When I landed on Nic & Kayla's website, I was smitten with their work from the start. Their artistic approach coupled with their attention to detail, it was exactly what I was looking for. (It didn't hurt that we instantly bonded over a shared love of The Office and everything surrounding the show. Most of our email communication included GIFS that always kept me giggling). I didn't want another cookie cutter video - I wanted something that highlighted me and my husband's personalities in a way that was worthy of the front page of Pinterest (every girl's dream, right?). Nic and Kayla DELIVERED. First of all, the flexibility they provided when it came to customizing a package and all the back end workings was unbelievably appreciated. They provided so much ease and comfort during a very stressful time for us while we're budgeting and putting down deposits. Then came the meetings themselves where we spoke of the wedding, timelines, etc. I always figured we would meet casually, just a quick phone call, no biggie. Not only were Nic and Kayla both on pretty much every call, but they were ready to facetime and take notes which I always found not only extremely professional, but allowed us the ability to create a friendship throughout the process. That friendship led us to the wedding day, where Nic and Kayla were absolutely part of the joy we celebrated. They were never a distraction, but rather an addition, providing laughs and space for special memories. Lastly came our wedding video. My mother in law (my husband's mother) passed away unexpectedly about 2 weeks after the wedding. It was extremely hard on everyone, especially during a time that was supposed to be filled with newlywed bliss. When I expressed to Nic how I wanted to make sure she was highlighted in the video, I am still floored at how he made sure she was a major part without making her the focus. The parts of the video that showcase the speeches, she is perfectly visible in a mirror where we get to see her reactions. Parts of the video that show the ceremony include her seat in the front row. The day we received the video was the day of her memorial, and we were able to watch it and have the best emotional connection together as a newly blended family, it was SUCH a gift. It's been over six months since our wedding, and to this day I probably watch our wedding video at least every other week, and without fail I still laugh out loud, shed tears, and dance along to the music they selected. They captured who we are in a way I truly don't think anyone else could have. It shows off our love for one another and our friends+family, it plays on our silliness and how much we love to laugh, and it meant so much to me how they made sure to incorporate all the DIY elements I busted my butt on so that I can remember those special details for years and years to come. I could not recommend Reverence Videography enough, and Nic and Kayla will always have such a big spot in my forever grateful heart.
