Absolutely Amazing.

Doc Johnson went above and beyond for me and my wife. Showed up to the rehearsal and wedding before time. Was great with communication and helping us get the paperwork side and the Wedding side complete. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

Absolutely terrible

Would not recommend at all! I have waited over a month to write this review to be as objective as possible and thinking of the service I received still upsets me. Although the company was responsive I was the one who had to reach out every time to initiate contact. My fiancé and I were coming in from out of town and chose them because of their good reviews. We arrived in town 3 days before our wedding and still had not heard anything 48 hours before I reached out to verify our reservation for services as I had not heard anything from them since paying for my services! Prior to my booking they didn’t asks single question about what type of service we wanted (religious or not, whether we wanted to write our own vows etc) I had to advocate for myself to have the service I wanted as even the day before they never asked.

The night before my wedding they let me know the weather forecast was predicting rain (about 30% chance in the AM 10% in the PM) and pressured me into moving the ceremony to their new “chapel”. Based on the pictures I saw online I agreed even though I was looking forward to my lighthouse wedding and wasn’t that worried about the weather. But the picture on the website was really nice and they offered to open the chapel prior to the official opening for me.

1 hours before the ceremony she texted me verifying Me and my fiancé’s NAME as she couldn’t find our Paperwork! HUGE RED FLAG! But it was almost time and shit happens so I took a deep breath and sent the info over. It was then I received the address and was informed the “chapel” was on the second floor of an office building above a drs office! ANOTHER RED FLAG! But according to the pictures it still seemed nice and it was too late to change our plans so we headed over. All the while receiving concerned texts from my photographer. When my photographer arrived she sent us a picture of what the “chapel” really looked like. The chapel was a conference room. A very small conference room and looked NOTHING like the pictures. The linens covering the folding chairs weren’t ironed (the pics showed wooden chairs) the alter was a $20 backdrop from Amazon (also wrinkled) with linen from the arch sticking out from the bottom.

Needless to say I was very upset. I called my fiancé and asked him if he wanted to skip this place and just go to the lighthouse for photos instead. We decided to give them a chance to make it right. At this point I just wanted to see what they had to say for an explanation. When I arrived I had my fiancé hold back while I talked to them. As I walked In I commented on how this looked nothing like what was pictured on the website and their response was very matter of factor stating “that’s just a place holder photo we told you it wasn’t ready yet” I later found out that the girl sitting behind me (chewing gum) rolled her eyes when I expressed I felt it was false advertising. For reference we were getting married on a Wednesday and they were due to open MONDAY! I kept my cool and voiced my displeasure at being misled and their response was the same. My photographer pulled me aside and asked me again if we wanted to skip the ceremony location and stage one where we originally planned (as it was 65 and sunny and gorgeous). I called my fiancé and he agreed to do whatever I wanted. I walked back in and was met with a response of “are we doing this or not” I told them we were heading to the lighthouse. They said okay (cue exasperated and annoyed tone) but did not confirm they would meet us there or anything.

We left with no sign of them heading out as they seemed in no rush to go anywhere. We ended up having the ceremony after all which I would rate approx 3 stars as what she said was nice but she did not preform our hand tying ceremony properly (no tying actually occurred and our rope was wrapped only once). No paperwork was signed or anything. They disappeared without saying a word as we started our pictures and we never heard a word of apology or received any semblance of refund. I checked the website they were due to open the “chapel” and the picture was still the same.

Moral of the story: ask questions and don’t let people pressure you on your wedding. Look for the red flags and don’t ignore them.
