Short: amazing H&MU artists, great products and results, the best stylists in Tulum/Yucatan for any bride and her party!! I would give Prep 5,000 stars if I could :)

I got married in Isla Holbox, MX and was so so so lucky to have found Prep via Instagram! I spent a long time finding the right H&MU artists because I knew if H&MU were on point I would relax more on my wedding day :) I could only achieve this if I found the BEST stylists in Tulum (and frankly ever). I ended up booking a trial run with Prep, because I'm just that type of person where I want to establish a rapport and I feel totally comfortable on my wedding day. The trial run gave us time to play around with a few different styles and Chelsea was able to give me several tips for better hair a month before my wedding. I would highly recommend all brides to do a trial run if you can. But I will say it wasn't totally necessary since Prep definitely has the expertise to pull off any vision you have on first-go. Since I got married in Holbox I had to pay the travel fees for the girls to come from Tulum, which I found totally fair since it's quite a travel day to get to the island.

After doing the trial run I kinda knew I wanted to have the girls do my H&MU for my welcome reception which was the day before my wedding as well as on the wedding day. I just wanted those two days to be easy breezy for me. I NEVER do anything special with my hair and don't really even know how to do my makeup properly so having the girls do both days was perfect for me! Chelsea did my hair and Bailey did my makeup. They're both exceptionally amazing at what they do and made me feel so beautiful both days of my wedding events. I should also add that Chelsea had added some extensions to my hair to make it fuller when we did the trial run (another reason to do the trial). Dealing with the Holbox humidity my hair tends to look thin at times and we both thought I'd feel better with a little more volume - and she was RIGHT! My MU was perfect too. I wanted a natural look with a pop of color on the lips. Bailey really did a beautiful job!

Bottom line is hiring H&MU artists for a wedding in Tulum or Isla Holbox can feel expensive, but rest assured, Prep is going to deliver top quality and it's worth every cent. Getting married in Mexico was supposed to be stress free... then I realized I needed to figure out hair and makeup in a different country. LUCKILY I found Prep on Wedding Wire about a year in advance... I followed their social media pages and instantly fell in love with the different artists work. Brittany answered every question I had and drew up a contract (that I changed a million times) and stayed in contact via WhatsApp in Mexico with me. I couldn't have asked for better communication.
I was assigned Maria and Katty from the Prep team for me and my wedding party. I LOVED THEM. They did a bridal trial with me a few days prior to the wedding and then the actual wedding day. I knew I was taking a risk going full glam in the 99% humidity and 85 degrees but Maria and Katty were all in and my curls and makeup held for almost the entire night! I received SO many compliments on my hair and makeup. They were professional, passionate, and beautiful. A dream team. I couldn't have asked for anything more.

My daughter (3rd out of 3 weddings in 3 years) had a destination wedding in Tulum last week. We only needed hair and makeup for the bride, my other two daughters and myself. The stylist and makeup artist were exceptional in their talent, professionalism, ability to work with long and somewhat difficult hair that held up in crazy humidity, and makeup that stayed on even when we all jumped in the pool at the end of the party (yes, in our wedding clothes). No mascara smudges, eyelashes stayed on, even hair was still intact. The designs with not only hair (each one of us a fantastic style!) but makeup was incredible. They were able to make this MOB look pretty for the entire night. We've had two other companies in the U.S. for wedding makeup and hair, and neither one was even close to how wonderful Prep Tulum was. I wish I could've taken them back with me to the U.S.!
