My wife and I got married at a private barn in Middletown, DE. The barn had no kitchen or running water, so we knew catering would be tricky. When what we thought was our top (and only) vendor option fell through, we panicked. I found Robert when I googled “food trucks in Middletown de” and boy am I glad I did! Robert and his staff were answered prayed and we could not be happier.
Robert runs his business out of his mobile food truck, which was exactly what we needed. He primarily does smaller corporate / private events, but he also does larger events and wedding (about 7 a year, he says). The “lack of” experience absolutely does not show; you would think he does 40 weddings a year based on the service he provides!
Robert is one of the kindest, friendliest, laid-back people I’ve ever met. After speaking to him on the phone, we scheduled a meeting at my house (yes, my house!) where he prepared a tasting for me and my wife. He simply loves making people happy through his craft. The food was outstanding, and we literally just sat and talked for two hours… soon after, the contract was signed.
Throughout the planning process, he took care of all the little things that come along with a DIY wedding (bartending, mixers, cutlery, linens, etc. etc.). His responses were very prompt and his pricing is VERY reasonable. Most people know wedding vendors charge 3x4 what their product is worth because the word “wedding” is attached – Robert does not do this, even though he surely could.
Robert blew us away on our wedding day. His staff was fun and professional, perfectly sized for our event. The guests raved about the food and the service at both the outdoor cocktail hour and the indoor reception. He treated me and my wife like a king and queen, and our special filet was melt-on-your-mouth amazing.
If you are getting married in DE and have the freedom to choose your vendors, choose Robert and you’ll be thrilled the whole way, just like we were and still are!
