About
The historic Newtown Castle is located in the heart of the Burren in the West of Ireland. The tower has occupied a prominent position in the village of Ballyvaughan since the 16th century. Having lain derelict for many years, the castle's restoration began in 1994, completed in time for the opening of the Burren College of Art in August of that year. It is open free of charge to the public on week days.
For couples who are looking for a uniquely romantic setting for their wedding day, Newtown Castle is the ideal venue, allowing for a ceremony as individual as you are. The castle commands spectacular views of the surrounding Burren landscape, a breathtaking backdrop for photographs.
Newtown Castle is also available to hire for wedding ceremonies, small private functions and company events.
