Mimi's Bridal and Formalwear

My bridal party and I loved everything about Mimi’s. My WONDERFUL consultant, Mrs. Gwen, was so sweet the whole time and was very patient with me and my bridesmaids even though we took a few minutes for a mini reunion as we hadn’t seen each other all summer. The dresses at this boutique are exquisite and very well priced. They carry a large variety of designers so there is something for everyone. Long story short, they do everything they can to get you the perfect dress, and Mimi will tell you like it is if something can’t be done but will also offer expert advice on how to get the look you want. I must’ve tried on 15 dresses and each time Gwen helped me narrow down what I liked and what I didn’t. This was only my second time trying dresses so I was still very open to different things. I already had a bolero I knew I wanted to wear and when we found a dress that was PERFECT except the neckline wasn’t strapless so the bolero could go over it, I literally started crying when Mimi told me it couldnt be altered to be strapless because the back was too low and didn’t have the structure to hold up. BUT Gwen called Allure and was able to get them to custom make the dress to be strapless for me! SHE WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND to get me the perfect dress. I was shocked that it wasn’t outrageously expensive either. They were so wonderful here; we will definitely be going back to look at bridesmaids and flower girls dresses!

What a beautiful place, with THE best gowns! Ashlee helped us from the time we came until the time we left. She was sweet, patient and efficient. She made sure the bride was pleased, adding all the finishing touches to make her say yes to the dress. You won’t be disappointed!

Mimi's was my second stop in my wedding dress search. I think in the 2 days, between the 2 shops, I must have tried on 50+ gowns. ??
Ashley was very patient & helpful & did not seem annoyed by my "endless" indecisiveness ??
At the end of my 2+ hours of looking & trying, I finally decided upon a dress.... and I was EXHAUSTED! (I can only imagine how Ashley & the other staff feel, doing that all day long!!)
I was impressed with their in-store stock.... they had a lot to choose from. The staff I interacted with seemed quite knowledgeable & all seemed to maintain a positive attitude.
Now I just wait for my dress to arrive in March and then hope that I look fabulous (and like that dress was MADE for me!!) in May! ??)

I fell in LOVE with my experience at Mimi's. I had previously been to 4 different bridal boutiques before going to MiMi's, all of which were disappointing. The atmosphere here was calming and the staircase where you could stand and look at your dress helped set the stage for my "Say Yes to the Dress!" Moment!

The girls at Mimi's were so helpful! I couldn't have found the most perfect wedding dress anywhere else.

My daughter was married in 2014 and she shopped every bridal shop from Gulfport to Mobile looking for the perfect dress. I finally talked her into driving to Mimi's in Laurel where she found the perfect dress. I just had another daughter get married and we went straight to Mimi's. She found more than one perfect dress there and couldn't make up her mind. Everyone was so patient with her while she tried both of them on at least three times. The girls were so nice in assisting her and letting her take her time in deciding which one was 'her dress'. They understood the importance of making the right decision. We finally went home with the perfect dress and she received so many compliments on how beautiful she looked in her Allure wedding gown.

I went in just to try on some dresses and ended up finding the perfect dress for me! Ashlee listened to what I liked and didn't like and found a dress that ended up fitting perfectly and only had to be hemmed!

While I have bought a few pageant dresses from Mimi's before, since we live out of town, we decided to try wedding dress shopping closer to home. What we found was that the drive was WELL WORTH IT!

We went to a bridal shop in Mobile, AL. I found THE dress and was to the point of handing the lady my credit card. However, when she told me the minimum charge for alterations would be $399, I saw that as a major red flag. My mom and I immediately decided we'd would "think" on it and call the girl on Monday.

We went to discuss over lunch. Because I have always been beyond impressed with Mimi's, we decided to give them a call. It turns out, we could get the same dress for about $200 cheaper and the alterations started at... drum roll, please... $40. HELLO! Obvious choice.

Before purchasing my dress, I did go up one Saturday and make sure that I had made the right decision. Elizabeth was more than helpful in helping me choose dresses that not only did I love but that were also flattering for my figure.

The fact that their seamstress has been there close to 40 years is not a bad thing either.

I would recommend Mimi's Bridal and Formal Wear over any other shop any day!

Our consultant, Jill Richards, welcomed my mother and I with open arms and southern hospitality. She had patience and took the time to not only to find the perfect dress but to play dress up as well. We never felt pressured to hurry up or buy a dress we weren't happy with. I ended up loving a dress that was completely different than the idea I had originally went in with so we took a few snapshots to remind myself and decided to try out a few other chain dress shops. It only cemented my view on the dress and I called Jill the next week to buy the dress. In the same day my mother also found the perfect dress and we never had a moments regret. If we did, I'm sure Jill and the rest of the Mimi's crew would help us out. It was well worth the drive to Laurel from Biloxi!

My dress was amazing! Everyone there was so nice! They even stayed open and hour late one friday so i could try my dress on!
