Mike's Light and Sound was a wonderful vendor! Mike and Nick each discussed in person and via phone with my husband and I before our wedding about our vision for our ceremony and reception. Nick was a wonderful DJ and made our night so special! They both provided very helpful recommendations for what they've seen work best with their many years of experience. We had a blast and everyone was dancing all night. All of our guests rave about how much fun they had! I highly recommend Nick and Mike's Light and Sound!

Our DJ made our wedding and reception truly amazing. We had SO much fun at the reception and the DJ knew how to get everyone involved. We had a wedding with 300 people of all ages and he had even the elderly couples out on the floor dancing. I highly recommend this DJ!

Worst experience on my wife’s and I wedding day. Mike showed up with his wife and basically had a date night. He did not stick to the schedule that we went over multiple times before the wedding. He messed up our entrance song i.e. he didn’t play it and claimed he could not see us walk in. He ruined our first dance by playing our entrance song. He then proceeded to to play music at random to which only 2 of the songs we requested were played. We had a Taylor Swift song picked out for a couples dance and he proceed to play Tennessee Whiskey instead. When I confronted him, he said “ well this is the most popular song right now”. When it was time for our exit song, he started playing it before everyone was lined up and ready to go. I had to chase him dow because he was over at the bar getting drinks. He then stated again that he could not see what was going on to which I replied “ you could have your wife tell you when we were ready and he proceeded to just restart the song as I walked away so I had to run to my place. I guess you get what you pay for and he was one of the cheapest in town. Save yourself the hassle of gaveling to constantly hover over your DJ to make sure music is actually played and there isn’t a date night going on.

Tried to blame every mistake on our coordinator who tried to keep him in the loop the entire reception. He stayed in his little corner with his girlfriend drinking and eating instead of working. He basically had a date night and crashed our wedding. He played the music he wanted to and didn’t even play what we had listed. We stated that we didn’t want any country songs because we were trying to keep it all pop yet he decided to play multiple country songs. We wasted hours of our time creating a song list for him to not play any of them. He claimed we set him up away from everyone but he never asked where we wanted him to set up. When I confronted him about the song choices he claimed “well these are the most popular songs”. He will more than likely respond trying to cover his butt, but his previous DJ, Nick, contacted me a few weeks after the wedding and said that since Mike had gotten his girlfriend, he had multiple people reach out to say they had an experience similar to mine. He is the most disrespectful and un professional business I have worked with. Spend a little more money and get someone who will actually take care of you and not place blame on everyone but himself.

Mike convinced us he was perfect for the job because he'd worked in the venue before and knew how to work in the space. We signed a contract, paid way more than what we had budgeted, and felt secure in our choice. Except he screwed up every single cue. We agonized over a playlist that was never played. The only song he played at the right time was (thank God) the wedding march. When confronted about it, he made every excuse in the book, even saying that the music files we provided weren't converted right. Tell me, what kind of professional doesn't check this kind of thing ahead of time? He also said that the songs got mixed out of order, which is silly because I labeled and NUMBERED every song on the list. He refused to provide even a partial refund. Our wedding was basically used as a date night for him and his girlfriend. When we explained that we were going to do a fake exit for photos and we wanted him to play the song for that moment, he refused because it wasn't time for him to leave yet. When it was time, he started packing up before the song ended. Please just save yourself the anxiety and keep looking. He introduced each song with "And they've chosen a song for this, so let's play that." or something along those lines. It just isn't worth it.
