The venue was absolutely beautiful. It allowed us tons of flexibility with set up. It’s just a venue hall so there’s no requirements for catering or guests limits. We had a party of about 60 people and everything was perfect. Very reasonably priced too!

They give you complete creative control over what you want to do inside and how you use the space. They are very laid back, responsive and kind. As long as you leave the venue how it was when you rented it, everything works out smoothly and you get the security deposit back. They offer the additional options of renting it the night before and the morning after for a wedding - so great for set up/clean up and very affordable.

My fiancee and I had our engagement party at the Railroad Station this past August and it was such a wonderful night. The space is so gorgeous, with a historic and rustic feel. The old train cars that are placed along the rear of the property are beautiful to get pictures of and with. We brought our own barbeque and cooked right on the back deck, my dad had lots of fun back there because there were picnic tables where his family could talk to him while he was cooking. There were plenty of tables, and chairs, and the lighting was beautiful. I would definitely recommend this as a place to have a party and a wedding.

Merrimack Valley Railroad Company was an amazing place to host our wedding! The venue is so naturally charming we did minimal decorating and it still looked incredible. All of our guests commented on how fun and unique the venue is! Tina, who manages the venue, was very helpful when we asked questions but also very laid back. One of the reasons we went with this venue is because we had a lot of flexibility to make our wedding day exactly what we wanted. We rented the venue from Friday night to Saturday morning, so we were able to set up the day before and clean up the next day, leaving us our whole wedding day to get ready and spend time with our families. I will point out that there is no air conditioning so it was pretty hot in there during our July wedding, but we knew that going into it. There are sliding doors to open and we brought extra fans, but it was still pretty toasty. A lot of our guests stayed on the outside porch during the reception.

I just had my wedding here on Saturday and it was amazing! This place is such a hidden gem. Tina was so wonderful- she stayed in touch, answered all our questions and got us in to see the space multiple times even though we are from out of town and had to work around an odd schedule. The interior is gorgeous and, in my opinion, has more class and character than any country club function room. The twinkle lights are a beautiful touch, and if you haven't seen them on in the evening, when the light is low, prepare to be blown away. You have the freedom to make it your own but, honestly, the room doesn't need much decoration. And pictures with the trains are so fun, both for the bridal party and for guests. Love love loved having my wedding here, 10/10 would recommend!

The building needs a bit of a paint job and the parking is only gravel but don't let that deter you, the interior is very nice. Tina was super responsive, gave us a tour several months in advance as we were searching for a site. Allowed us full access to the building the night before (Sat Wedding) so we could do our own setup. Recently added a second bathroom big enough to do a bridal change in. The railroad office has been converted into a separate kitchen which has also been renovated with plenty of counter space, sink and full size fridge. Plenty of tables, both round and long, folding chairs and an antique luggage cart we used as a cake table. We were concerned about enough breeze but with the doors on end and back of hall (3) open the hall kept plenty cool on a 75 day.
