Mary was phenomenal! She made it very easy for us to select our ceremony readings and was helpful with suggestions and advice. What really made her outstanding, however, was her performance the day of the ceremony and the day before - at the rehearsal. I had expected maybe a 10 minute rehearsal - a walk through to see where everyone would stand and how we'd enter/leave. The ceremony was at a garden (Brookside Gardens) so I was worried about arranging people more than anything. Mary stayed with us for over an hour, however, walking us through the entire ceremony, advising our wedding party on how to stand and where, and calming everyone's nerves. The day of the ceremony, I was crying before I even made it to the altar and she had tissues waiting. She made it fun, easy, and special, and she adhered beautifully to our requested ceremony style and readings. We could not have asked for a better officiant.

Reverend Mary is fantastic at what she does. She is extremely flexible, great at wrangling large and difficult parties (my family is no picnic), and full of excellent advice. She is, however, quite busy, so sometimes her responses are not immediate or her emailed advice/suggestions can be a little curt, which can be misinterpreted by a stressed out bride (:)). Also, she may not always realize you've responded to an email or previously provided the information she is asking for, which, again, is no big deal (just re-forwarding an old email), but just a tiny wrinkle with an otherwise near-perfect service. She did a fantastic job with the rehearsal and wedding - our families loved her, and we are so grateful we had her. She gave us the ceremony of our dreams, and we will always be in her debt for it (and, as she mentioned, she does christenings, vow renewals, and other events, so we'll be keeping her contact information for those!).
