I booked Sarah for my wedding back in July, 2022. On the day of my wedding Sarah arrived on time and gave each person the dedicated time they deserved to achieve a beautiful makeup look. Everyone in my bridal party, including myself were pleased with their makeup. Many noted how sweet Sarah was and easy to work with! I had no issues with my experience of having Sarah Black as my bridal makeup artist on my wedding day. From booking to a trial, to wedding day, everything went smoothly.

I highly highly highly recommend Sarah! She did an absolutely amazing job with my makeup and received a million compliments on it! Even though my wedding was in the first week of August and 100 degrees outside, she managed to do my makeup where it never messed up and all of my pictures occurred outside. She was exactly on time and arrived when she said she would. She managed all of my bridesmaids makeup including both Mothers and myself with a ton of time left for several touch ups. She made me and all of my bridesmaids feel like the most beautiful women in the world with compliment after compliment. Her makeup work is far from cakey and more on the natural look side which is exactly what I wanted! If I ever have another event where I need my makeup done I will a million percent give her a call! ❤️❤️

Sarah has done my makeup for me twice now for family photoshoots. As a single mama with 2 little ones that hardly ever gets “dressed up” these days, both of those times Sarah has made me feel and look like I have had months of rest, and just the most confident and beautiful I’ve ever felt. Upon me initially reaching out, she is quickly kind, responsive and helpful with booking the date to schedule. She lived in Cairo, was doing school in Moultrie at the time, and made sure to make time to come to me in Hahira without an issue. Sarah is so knowledgeable in her products and what would work best for individual different skin textures and skin tones. She is very accommodating to certain styles people may like, whether its full glam, or more natural, or dramatic, ect. All while Sarah is doing her thing, she is so sweet and personable and became a great friend the very first time we met. Her art in making women beautiful goes far beyond the chair. Sarah brings many clients, and still with all the clients, she remembers my name and my babies and other details I’ve told her all while chatting. You are not just a person in a chair with a stranger touching your face. When you meet and hire Sarah you can 100% trust her in making your confidence sky rocket and your makeup in your pictures look immaculate and gain a loving friend! Sarah takes so much pride in her work and I loved my pictures from my photoshoot even more solely on the fact I had a professional like Sarah do my makeup! I can’t wait to hire her again!

Sarah did both my makeup and hair for my engagement pictures, and she did an amazing job! The only reason I didn’t book her for my wedding was because she was already booked that day. She is an absolute joy, with one of the kindest hearts I have ever met, and she makes everyone that sits in her makeup chair feel like a million bucks! She was thorough and quick to respond, and went out of her way to schedule me. She took her time, and my hair and makeup was absolutely perfect! I would absolutely recommend Sarah for any hair and makeup needs that you have! 10/10!

Sarah made me and my bridal party look absolutely stunning! She is such a gem and a joy to work with. We all felt like movie stars and were our most glamorous selves. Every look was truly tailored to each individual's style and everyone felt their best. I'd use Sarah again for any makeup needs in a heartbeat!

LOVED working with Sarah! She was very easy to communicate with and one of the best priced MUA in the South Georgia/North Florida area! She travels to you which is amazing and offers trials to help nail down your look before the big day! She was quick and efficient but nothing felt rushed either. Great personality, very professional, I could go on forever! Would work with her again, hands down!

My best friend decided to come from Atlanta to get married close to her home town friends and family and booked Sarah as her make up artist. Not just a cancellation the week of the wedding, no, she LIED about her reasoning for cancelling and booked another bride while leaving my bride in DISTRAUGHT over not only finding a new artist but also concerned for her health, which in fact was not the reason. May the good Lord above lead you to the right MUA and not someone as shallow and manipulative as this one.

Sarah was booked for a wedding I was a part of this past weekend. She canceled 7 DAYS before citing an emergency. We later found out she is known for doing this and that she had booked another wedding. If you want to trust that your MUA will show up, book someone else or make sure you’re the highest bidder.

I’m honestly shocked that Sarah is still getting clients given both my personal experience and the number of similar stories I’ve heard. She canceled on my SIL (bride) just seven days before the wedding, citing serious pregnancy complications, which we later found out was not truthful. Within two days after the wedding date, it became clear she had taken on another booking instead.
Canceling that close to such an important event is already incredibly stressful, but being misled about the reason makes it even more disappointing. I would strongly encourage anyone considering her services to proceed with caution.

Sarah Black was the scheduled makeup artist for my brother’s wedding on May 4, 2024. I was scheduled to get makeup at 12. Thankfully I woke up early that morning and was ready 3 hours early because I received a call that Sarah was running early. Two hours early…. I have worked for a high end salon in Atlanta for 10 years. I have scheduled many wedding appointments over that time. 30 minutes is the minimum amount of time a makeup artist can complete an event ready look.

I walked in to find her ready to apply my makeup rushing me through hellos with the bride. The first red flag was the dirty makeup brushes and sponges. Once she started apply the makeup, I had a chance to look around at her “professional” kit made up of Wet n’ Wild and Milani. I have never in the 10+ years in the industry ever seen this amount of drugstore brands used by a professional MUA.

She finished applying lipgloss (with the actual applicator… unsanitary) and only 10 minutes had passed since she started. I was horrified when I looked in the mirror and saw black mascara on my eyebrows and looking nothing like the pictures I showed her at the beginning. She did no preparation of the skin and no setting spray (any of the usual treatments done to ensure lasting results).

I spent the next 30 minutes attempting to fix the mess she made on my face. I wish I would have washed it then and completely done my makeup myself instead to avoid the zits that happened after due to the bacteria built up on her tools and products.

The worst part was the chaos that she caused my sister-in-law on her wedding day. This behavior is rude and completely unprofessional. I’m judging by the work and sanitation that this person is not a licensed professional. Please save yourself the stress (and skin irritation) and do not book Sarah Black for any event.
