Sam and her husband John were absolutely wonderful as the photographers for our wedding. After checking out Sam’s website, I absolutely loved how down to earth and sincere she seemed and I knew we’d get along great. We discussed the details of the wedding, signed the contract and she helped me form a timeline for the day of the wedding. I really appreciated her help with the timeline as she walked me through exactly how much time I should budget for various things throughout the day based on my desires and she made sure that we left plenty of cushion room for if things were to run late (which they did of course – thank goodness she helped me be prepared for that!) She was also there for me for all of the questions and changes I had throughout the process. She never once seemed the least bit upset whenever I’d make a change which I sincerely appreciated.

On the day of the wedding, Sam and John arrived early, well dress and with big smiles on their faces. They knew exactly what to do and got right to work. They were there for every shot I could have possibly wanted. Something that really surprised me about her was that every time I called Sam’s name, she would turn to face me with a big, sincere smile on her face. When most people turn to look at you, they have kind of a blank face just waiting to hear what you have to say to them, but Sam’s warm smile absolutely every time she turned to look at me really made me feel at ease – even when I felt like the sky was falling. (If you book her, you’ll end up seeing what I mean – seeing her smile will just make your day!) Sam and John had become my time keepers after I had lost my phone somewhere in the getting ready room and it was absolutely adorable that every time I asked them what time it was and what was scheduled next, they BOTH pulled out schedules from their pockets – talk about prepared! I would have only expected one of them to carry a schedule, but the fact that they both did speaks to their organizational skills. Again, they never seemed irritated that I asked somewhere close to 1,000 times what time it was and what was next on the schedule. They both have the patience of a saint! Sam also saved the day when it came time to put on my dress when we realized that no one knew how to lace me up – Super Sam to the rescue! She kindly showed my mother how to lace me up so that she could still have the honor of “helping me into the dress”. I literally don’t know what I would have done without Sam!

When it came time for the ceremony, they were both very careful to make sure that they did not get in the way of any guests’ view which was very appreciated by the guests as a few of them previously had bad experiences with photographers/videographer not caring whether the guests could see or not. They were able to capture every shot perfectly while still remaining invisible to the guests. After the ceremony was over Sam and John literally stood out in the rain with us to take our wedding portraits. What troopers! We had our dogs in some of the shots as well and when they decided they would rather explore a very far away shed instead, without even being asked John ran after the dogs so we could stay to get more shots in! Talk about going above and beyond! Sam was an absolute pro when it came to posing us during the portraits! She had us a do a mix of different types of shots, both candid and formal, and I was so grateful for her knowledge as I had absolutely no clue what kind of pictures I wanted. When we got back to the wedding venue Sam and John did a fantastic job organizing the family portraits and double and triple checked that they had gotten every family combo shot that I had asked for on my portraits list. Throughout the entire day/night, I felt so relaxed that they had everything handled and not once did I ever feel the need to make sure they were getting the shots I wanted. If I had to describe them in one word it would be – ORGANIZED! Which is exactly the kind of people you want on your big day.

Fast forward just a few short weeks after my wedding and my pictures were already done even after I told Sam that she didn’t need to rush to edit them and I can’t even begin to describe how these pictures made me feel! They were BETTER than the pictures that I was dreaming of! She had candid shots, portrait shots, artistic shots, dramatic shots, funny shots, adorable shots and literally everything in between! She didn’t miss a single picture that I had asked for and she got so many more that I didn’t even realize I wanted! I feel like the album captured my big day PERFECTFLY and the pictures were edited SO BEAUTIFULLY!! Sam’s cameras are also of amazing quality as it was able to capture the lightest little rain drops that were falling during our portraits and it made for a STUNNING effect! I seriously cannot recommend Sam enough. Her skills are unprecedented and she is literally the sweetest person you will ever meet. I would also highly recommend inquiring if her husband John would be available as a second shooter! The additional cost for the second shooter was very reasonable and they make an unstoppable pair! We hired Love in Flight Photography for our wedding and reception in June 2018. Sam was an amazing photographer and was able to get all the little details of our wedding on top of the classic pictures we asked for. Sam took my wedding portraits and did a phenomenal job! She thought of and attended to everything - from scouting out the area and planning poses for each site, packing some snacks when I started to get hangry, helping me haul my dress all over the park, and shielding me from the rain under a sheet. We had a lot of laughs, and the portraits are beautiful. Could not recommend more! Do yourself a favor and hire someone who will be a huge support on your wedding day as she snaps all of the perfect shots.
