As my now-husband (and mom and best friend) and I began planning our wedding, my number one priority was finding the right photographer. We wanted a simple wedding—no bridal party, nothing formal, just a simple ceremony and fun party in my parents’ backyard for the people we love. What mattered most to me (beside the whole getting married part) was having beautiful photos to remember the day.

I knew the cost of professional photographer would take up most of the budget for a simple backyard wedding, and I was totally at peace with that because I knew that I would be devastated if I my wedding photos were anything less than stunning. When I met Lissa and she shared her work with me, I was thrilled. Her photos are full of light and color! They perfectly matched what I was visualizing for my wedding.

When the ceremony is behind you and the reception is over the dress will be tucked away in a closet (and probably filthy), the centerpieces and flowers will be something you have to get rid of, and the cake will be such an annihilated wreck you won’t recognize it. But the photos are what you get to keep. They preserve all those choices and all that hard work—the dress, the flowers my sister-in-law spent hours crafting into bouquets, the toys dinosaurs I spray painted because my husband likes a dinosaur video game and I wanted him represented in the decorations, the cake that was so beautiful I wanted to cry. Lissa captured every detail and all the special moments of our wedding in bright, happy photographs that I will treasure always.

Lissa Chandler is simply the best wedding photographer you could ask for. She also takes great engagement and family photos. I want her to be my personal paparazzi and just capture all my important moments.

There are too many good things to say about Lissa. We cannot express how happy we were to have her as our wedding photographer! She is fun and bubbly, listens to your desires, gets to know you as a couple, and her photos reflect the overall atmosphere of the day. Her direction in how to pose is welcomed but not rigid (makes photo subject rookies feel so comfortable). She also gets the sweetest candid shots. When we received our wedding album, I remember how impressed I was. I literally felt like I was reliving my wedding day over and over again...and I STILL feel that way! Her vibrant photography and attention to detail leaves you with a happy story to show for generations to come. Lissa basically feels like your best friend who you want to hang out with all the time and document your life, because she is the most fun human and her photography captures moments in the sweetest way.

I couldn't imagine my wedding day without Lissa! Her positive and receptive personality made talking and working with her so easy. She puts thought into every. single. detail. Lissa listened to my input (let me pick my bridal session site!), but also used her creative talent to exceed my every expectation. She's photographed two of my very best friends' weddings, too, and now we are all just waiting for another opportunity to call her. Best photographer in our area. I love her, dearly.

I don't think we could of had a more perfect photographer for our wedding. Lissa is more than a photographer the day of your wedding. She kept me calm, cool, collected, and most importantly - excited! She was extremely organized, professional, and personable all at the same time. Her husband was amazing as well - I loved seeing them work together. Her style and the photos fit our wedding day perfectly. She captured our joy better than I ever imagined. I am having the hardest time making a photo album because I want every single photo in there! I was blown away by Lissa and her talent. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone!!

My experience with Lissa has been absolutely outstanding. I recently took wedding anniversary pictures with Lissa and they came back looking absolutely stunning. Lissa's artist style using light gives each picture a whimsical and romantic touch. Lissa was extremely attentive, often answering my e-mails late at night or early on in the morning and every time in between. She made the day perfect, and there was never an awkward moment (since I'm not great with posing). There wasn't one picture I wasn't absolutely obsessed with when I got them back. Great Turn around time as well! Lissa is funny, artistic, and should definitely be a consideration when looking to book a photography session!
