Located in Louisville, Nebraska, Lilac Hill is a picturesque wedding venue ideally suited for engaged couples seeking to host their dream celebration. Situated on 80 acres of luscious greenery and beautiful hills, this historic farm venue is the perfect backdrop for couples to declare their love for one another. Lilac Hill was brought to life by Don Maxon, who had a deep passion for gardening and landscaping. His wife, Beverly, also helped him to remodel the Sears catalog home built on these beautiful grounds. Today, their son, Chris Maxon, preserves the property alongside his family and is truly dedicated to each couple he works with.

Facilities and Capacity

Lilac Hill can host wedding celebrations both indoors and outdoors, depending on the requirements of each soon-to-be newlywed. A 6,480 square foot timber frame event barn can accommodate occasions with up to 250 guests, a superb indoor event space for larger celebrations. Couples can say "I do" whilst taking in the breathtaking beauty of the flowers planted throughout the estate which include lilacs, hydrangeas, crabapples, and more. The barn is also equipped with a premium sound system as well as a flat-screen TV that can showcase slideshows and videos.

Services Offered

Chris will get to know each couple on a personal level, developing an understanding of their preferred style and tastes. He will work to secure each client’s trust and comfort from the very beginning, consulting their creative opinion on each aspect of their special day. Clients will have access to the property from noon until midnight, providing them with time to perfect their desired aesthetic. There is also an array of high-quality event rental items available such as tables, chairs, and wedding decor. An on-site kitchen is available for each couple’s caterer to prepare meals. In addition, there are two full-service bars with skilled bartenders on hand to prepare refreshments.

Lilac Hill is located fewer than 30 minutes from Omaha and 45 minutes from Lincoln. Louisville is a charming town that sits on the Platte River and is a convenient destination for visitors traveling from nearby cities. There is also an array of local attractions including Mahoney and Platte River State Parks and the SAC Museum.
