About this venue
Laramie Plains Museum is an unequaled venue that offers couples a unique and historic backdrop for their wedding day in the heart of Laramie, Wyoming. The Alice Hardie Stevens Center and East Lawn are the perfect locations to say “I do”. Radiating timeless elegance, the picture-perfect property combines that ageless sophistication with modern amenities for a memorable wedding.
Facilities and Capacity
Laramie Plains Museum is located near the University of Wyoming and the Invinson Mansion, close to downtown Laramie. The Alice Hardie Stevens Center (AHSC), located on the Ivinson Mansion block, was named after an extraordinary woman who went above and beyond to preserve the mansion and grounds. The walls still carry the echoes of the past and add a sense of grandeur to the occasion. The exceptional, and recently expanded, AHSC boasts a magnificent ballroom, complete with wooden floors, a vaulted ceiling, a stage, and shimmering overhead chandeliers. Stylish French doors open onto a manicured English garden, where couples and their guests can mingle, and which is ideal for the ceremony. The beautiful AHSC building was built over a century ago and contains a stunning dressing room where nearlyweds and their wedding party can prepare on-site, hassle-free. In addition, the AHSC features a fully-equipped kitchen, where the celebration’s all-important delectable meal can be prepared as the attendees soak in the property’s historic atmosphere. All in all, the building can accommodate up to 200 loved ones for a seated meal, or up to 350 for a standing get-together.
Services Offered
When spouses-to-be choose Laramie Plains Museum for their big day, they will receive folding chairs for the ceremony, with tables, Chivari chairs, cocktail tables, and more available for the reception. The AHSC is wheelchair accessible, meaning no loved ones will miss out on the happy couple’s once-in-a-lifetime event. For all nearlyweds looking to tie the knot surrounded by loved ones and history, Laramie Plains Museum’s ASHC and East Lawn are the only choice.
