About
La Charlotte opened in 2004 and was the creation of Michaela Hug Nelsen. Michaela, an extraordinary pastry chef with a great vision for unique desserts brought her longtime friend and pastry chef, Jacqui Caniglia, into the bakery in 2006. Together they expanded the shop into one of Omaha’s top culinary delights. In 2009 Michaela moved from the Omaha area and turned the pastry shop over to Jacqui.
