Bottom line: DJ Akshen is a professional. He was set up on time, expertly emceed the evening, kept our reception on schedule, and had the dance floor full all night! Being a DJ isn't his job, it's who he is.
Our experience: DJ Akshen was the one hire that didn't stress us out! Way ahead of the big day, we discussed our musical preferences and the day's agenda. He honored our must-play list and filled in the blanks to keep the vibe going. DJ Askhen also had some helpful insights that only comes with experience. For example, a full-length song as our first dance seems short on paper, but feels like an eternity when it's happening! He was also sensitive to the cultural (filipino) aspects of our reception/guests.
Overall, the reception was smooth. After the ceremony, you really just want your party to be fun and worry-free!
Bonus: DJ Akshen is a veteran and had no issues with our reception being on a military base.

Jay has an infectious personality and knows how to get the crowd going. He will laugh with you, at you and encourage your guests to get involved. Any one can play music, but Jay will make sure it is a night to remember and he takes out the 'guess' work. He is timely, accurate and knows how to entertain.
