Owen DJ’d and emcee’d my wedding in Sept. 2019 at Zephyr Cove Resort and I would highly recommend working with him! I was on a really tight budget and timeline, and Owen was incredibly easy to work with -- he worked within my budget AND was available on a Monday holiday (Labor Day). Our phone calls were informative and helpful. I had admittedly gotten caught up with work and was behind on music choices, but Owen checked in to make sure I knew how to use his music recommendation database on his site (which was easy to use!) and answered all my questions in a really informative way. On the day of, he was all set up on time and everything went on without a hitch. He worked seamlessly with my day-of coordinator to manage the flow of the event, made changes on the fly as we needed (i.e. skipped announcing the cake cutting, and we decided to ask people to join the father daughter dance halfway through, etc) and continually checked in with my parents to ensure we were happy with everything and see if there was anything else he could do. Knowing a lot of our friends, we were not expecting a crazy dance party, but Owen kept the dance floor packed through the end of the night! Thank you, Owen, for all that you did for us!

Owen did a FANTASTIC job being the DJ / Host at our wedding in Lake Tahoe on 08-20-2016. Right from the start, he took initiative and organized the bridal party procession. He knew exactly where to be and exactly when to move on to the next activity. He had awesome ideas that kept the event flowing.
We would HIGHLY recommend JJ Entertainment to anyone searching for a DJ in the Tahoe area. I'm sure our guests were slightly biased, but many mentioned that this was the most fun wedding they had ever been to.
As the bride, I felt like I could relax and enjoy myself knowing that Owen and the other amazing vendors had everything under control. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ! Thank you, Owen!

Provided great entertainment for the night, and were very flexible with some of the unique elements to our reception. There were a few mic problems during the ceremony - I actually didn't know about it until a couple of days later, and I think the issue was fixed relatively quickly. As far as I know, the guests could hear me during the wedding, which has not been the case at some weddings I've been to! The music selection was great!

Overall our experience was fine. Our guests seemed very happy and definitely danced! I'm also very pleased with the mic during the ceremony as it was very windy and our guests could still hear! I will be honest though, there were a few things that were stressful: I wanted to do the toasts/dances/thank yous/exit in a certain order and a certain time and he couldn't keep that straight, so we ended up just doing it his way; there was an unexpected and awkward forced male dance that did not suit the vibe of our crowd (there was supposed to be a female one that I vetoed when I realized it was happening); and our first dance song was messed up (started playing the father daughter song) as well as a few other minor things. Most of these things were not a big deal, but it did add up to some stress throughout the planning process/wedding day that I could've done without. Again, overall satisfied, especially as a DJ was not one of our big ticket items.
