As a native Californian I love the look and feel of a relaxed but chic event, and I’ve always loved beautiful china and vintage linens. When our daughter Tatum wanted to have her wedding at our home, I had an idea. I had been collecting china from flea markets, thrift stores and estate sales over the years. I decided to kick it up a notch and went into overdrive, collecting enough china, goblets, silverware, chandeliers, backdrop pieces and more to host the fairy tale wedding Tate and I had always imagined. Janie Miller Events was born. I'm based in Truckee, California - but I love to travel - both for my clients and for inspirations (hint: French country designs are my favorite!
Janie lives in Truckee, California with husband Dan and bicheon Marsh and has three amazing grown kids Tory (Joyce), Tatum (Ryan) and Toby (Sawyer). She loves spending time with her family hiking and Mountain biking.
Anna Mia is a Reno-based home and event stylist who loves helping put together a special event or curated setting. She thrives on logistical organization and crafting a calm and inviting setting. Anna tackles events with a calm and practiced eye and is happy to take on a challenging location, request or idea. She loves to dive in, get dirty if need be, and ensure all details are taken care of.
When she's not working at Janie Miller Events, she enjoys hiking, skiing, snowboarding, waterskiing, and reading as well as working on design projects for her home, where she lives with her husband, Jude, and their two teen-aged children, Jude Luca and Greta.
