Finding a dress is suppose to be a fun expierence... However, That was not the case for me. I am a plus size gal and in the UK... well, not exactly a "stocked" size for dresses. I had 7 different shops make me an appointment for finding my dress.. all of which "would definately have your size!" I was offered one maybe two dresses that I wouldn't put my worst enemy in and then snubbed when I said that they were not what I had in mind for my big day. I was in TEARS.. then a great woman in Notts directed me to James Bride... I almost went home. I was so tired of being let down and made to feel like crap... but I went.
I AM SO HAPPY I DID!!!! Pam was a god send! She took one look at me and was completely sympathetic. She explained that she probably wouldnt have anything in store for me to try on, but had lots I could look at and we could call the designer to see if they carried my size. She listened to what I described and what I was looking for. Something lacey with a 50's style look. Something that would flatter my shape and make me feel special on my day. She picked out the perfect dress! She did everythign she could to get it in my size and on the day I needed it! I will be directing ALL my friends and family to her shop! I can not wait to go back for my daughters dress! I get soooo many compliments on my wedding dress and lucky for me, I get to wear it three times! Then after the final wedding ceremony, I will be taking it back to have it shortened to wear on special days!
