I was very pleased with everything that InBloom created for our wedding. They put together bouquets and centerpieces exactly as I envisioned. We were married downtown and though it was a traditional wedding, I wanted to make it sort of fun- and Betsy and Ginny were the perfect florists for me. They made stunning arrangements that really popped with color while not being over the top. They were easy and fun to work with. They have a casual style but are very responsive and on top of it. I would recommend InBloom to any bride looking to get married in Charleston.

Do NOT use Betsy. Save the money and headaches!

Any couple that’s reading this, please do NOT use Betsy. She was by far the worst vendor we chose for the wedding, and I regret going with her and giving her any of my money. Before we booked her, I showed her the color scheme we were going for which was a pastel yellow and pastel blue. She told me this is something she can do and easily give me what I was asking for. After she was booked, she showed how disorganized and not forthcoming she really is. For the payment total amount due, she venmo’d and paid us instead of requesting payment. She then bombarded numerous times us shortly after her mistake stating if we don’t send the money back immediately she will have to halt everything. Prior to this, we had a phone call the day before and we mentioned we were traveling the next day for our bridal shower. We sent the money back to her the next morning.

We had numerous phone calls, text and email correspondences with pictures and ideas of what we wanted. I was worried because she would keep telling us that the flowers we wanted were “garden flowers” or that her vendor didn’t carry what we wanted and she was pushing flowers on us that we did not want.

I showed her a great example of a beautiful cascading bouquet that had lots of roses and flowing greenery that I wanted and she told me she can do it. The day of my wedding, my bouquet was 90% greenery which was stiff and not cascading at all. Very minimal flowers were used. I attached a photo for reference. In fact the bridesmaids bouquets had more flowers than mine which I was told would not happen. They had roses and my bouquet did not after we specifically told her many many times that I wanted yellow roses. The day before the wedding, she sent my fiance and I a text of a picture of orange roses and stated “Hi The pale yellow Roses came in as Orange. We have switched to pale yellow Tulips. I'm showing a pic of what I received”. Tulips were on the list of flowers that we said we did NOT want. She did not bother calling us to tell us. You should never switch flowers without asking the couple, or even show them pictures of flowers they didn’t pay for the day before their wedding. When my mother in law called Betsy, Betsy told her that we can buy flowers at Costco and bring them to her for her to arrange. As the florist, you shouldn’t tell your clients to buy flowers after they already are paying you a lot of money for you to buy and arrange them. It was just a terrible experience and the flowers were not at all what we had discussed or agreed on. The center pieces did not have any blue Delphinium as discussed and in the contract. Please, do not make the mistake of hiring and giving your money to Betsy.

Absolutely awful

I ordered flowers and garland for the mantle at my wedding which was 11/28. I sent her clear pictures of what I wanted and she made the decision to go with a more “fall/winter theme” without asking my approval. This is the biggest day of my life and she decides what I should have at my wedding. Disappointed doesn’t begin to describe my feelings. Do not use them! I have included photos of the garland I requested (and they agreed to) and what was there my wedding day. STAY FAR AWAY.

Unprofessional

I made the 2 hour drive to Mount Pleasant to meet with Betsy after signing a contract and paying the deposit about 3 weeks prior. I arrive a little early and call with no answer. I soon receive a call back asking who I am, how I’ve been contacting Betsy, when is my wedding, etc. Betsy says she’ll need 15 minutes to get things together. I hesitantly agree. After seeing how things are going during the planning process, I quickly realize this is not how I want the most important day of my life going this way. In the midst of the commotion, I review the contract only to realize the wrong bride and groom names are typed at the top. (Mistake on my part as well) I email Betsy and tell her I will not be meeting with her and I would kindly like my deposit back. She explains that she thought I said my name was Bethany (it’s Stephanie) and that’s where all the confusion came from. Regardless of who she thought I was, she was going to schedule an appointment with ‘Bethany’ on top of Stephanie’s scheduled appointment?? I think not. She asked me to reschedule. I declined asking again for my deposit back and also advising her that my name isn’t even on the contract. She said she would get the money to me, but since this NEVER happens she would have to research how to get it back and it would take 30-45 days. I responded by saying you can simply Venmo me the money the same way I Venmo’d it to you in the first place. I thankfully received my money back- along with an extremely unprofessional comment on Venmo “confused bride- floral deposit refund.” Not only was Betsy unorganized and unapologetic, she was also unprofessional. I would not recommend.
