Hotel Renegade

We celebrated our wedding reception at Hotel Renegade on September 26, 2026, and from the very beginning of the planning process, nearly a year in advance, to the wedding weekend itself, our experience was nothing short of exceptional!

Our initial meeting with Cynthia Chavez immediately gave us confidence that we had chosen the perfect venue. Derek Ovall was flexible with options. Wendy Bouma, followed by event manager Mike Blanchard, continued to impress us with their professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to keep every aspect of the planning process organized—even as plans evolved and changes were made. They patiently answered our many questions (and we had so many!) and made the entire experience feel seamless. Mike was incredibly responsive to all of our emails and had every single detail covered leading up to the day. We also had our own day-of wedding planner, and the Hotel Renegade team worked beautifully with her in the weeks leading up to the celebration.

The reception space itself was absolutely beautiful and provided the perfect setting for our wedding. We had approximately 125 guests, and the space comfortably accommodated everyone while still allowing plenty of room for our dance floor and a wonderful evening of celebrating. The team did an incredible job coordinating with all of our vendors, including our florist, draping team, and DJ, to ensure everything came together seamlessly. We also hosted cocktail hour on the patio, which was absolutely stunning in September and provided a beautiful setting for our guests to mingle and enjoy the evening.

The food and drinks were exceptional from beginning to end. Everything was delicious, from the cocktail hour appetizers to our reception dinner and cocktails. We also hosted a brunch the following morning, and the food was incredible! Every meal exceeded our expectations, and we received so many compliments from our guests. Hotel Renegade truly made the entire weekend feel special, and the quality of the food and service was outstanding throughout.

One of the most special touches was the beautiful gift the team gave us on our wedding morning. They had also transformed our suite into a very romantic space, creating such a thoughtful and memorable start + end to our wedding day. It was absolutely beautiful, and we only wished we could have stayed longer! These personal touches made us feel so celebrated and cared for during such a meaningful time in our lives.

On the wedding day itself, everything felt completely seamless. I genuinely didn't notice any issues or concerns throughout the celebration because the team had everything so well organized and under control. We were able to relax, be present, and enjoy every moment with our family and friends without worrying about the logistics behind the scenes. The banquet setup and serving staff were attentive, efficient, and wonderful throughout the reception. The front desk team was equally exceptional all weekend long. A special thank-you to Tyler and the many others whose names I wish I had remembered. Every interaction reflected the same warmth, professionalism, and commitment to hospitality.

Suzi Humrich was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout the process, graciously handling our many questions and requests regarding guest rooms and reservations. Her professionalism, patience, and genuine kindness were greatly appreciated. Nearly 90% of our wedding guests traveled from out of town, many visiting Boise for the first time and staying at Hotel Renegade. Having so many of our guests stay at the hotel made the weekend even more special and convenient. We received so many compliments about the beautiful hotel, the guest rooms, and the overall experience. Several guests even mentioned that they look forward to returning to Boise to stay again at the Renegade!

I know I am leaving out names, but that is simply because the entire Hotel Renegade team deserves recognition. It is rare to experience such consistently outstanding service across every department. From the planning process to the reception, our wedding morning, and the brunch the following day, every detail was handled with care, thoughtfulness, and professionalism.

Thank you to everyone at Hotel Renegade for helping create such a beautiful, memorable, and truly unforgettable wedding weekend for our family and guests. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Renegade to any couple looking for a venue that goes above and beyond to make their wedding truly special!

Hotel Renegade made the wedding planning process so much easier for me! They provide so much, and I didn't need to find nearly as many vendors as I would have otherwise. I wanted somewhere I wouldn't have to worry about set up and all the little things, and they delivered! Mike was great to work with and gave such helpful insight and recommendations. The venue itself is beautiful. All my guests kept telling me how much they loved it! The views are gorgeous, and the food was delicious. I felt very taken care of. I couldn't have asked for a more magical day!
