Hood River Hotel

Hood River Hotel is a historic landmark destination located in Hood River, Oregon. This venue is nestled in the heart of the downtown area, surrounded by many charming shops and businesses. Originally, Hood River Hotel was established in 1911. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and holds a place of significance in the heritage community. The building’s thoughtful design marries contemporary and historical elements in a seamless fashion, allowing couples and their guests to experience the best of both worlds.

Facilities and Capacity

Hood River Hotel offers couples the Emerald Room, containing 2,500 square feet of event space, for their special occasions. Here, their clients will encounter a wet bar, a dance floor, a private entrance, and audio equipment. The room is able to accommodate a maximum capacity of 200 guests and can be set up in a variety of arrangements.

Services Offered

The event team is able to assist couples in their search for vendors, and they work with them to ensure that everything is accounted for. The hotel has an alcohol license, meaning that there are no restrictions placed on serving beverages. Should couples be hosting a large gathering, they have the option to buy-out the entire premises, including the 41 overnight rooms and a 10-bed bunkhouse on the property. Smaller room blocks are also an option for those who desire it. Interested couples are encouraged to reach out to the hotel’s event coordinator to discuss details and any other special arrangements.

History

It was in the year 1888 that Mt. Hood Hotel was built, and an annex was constructed in 1912, bringing into the world the bones of what would become Hood River Hotel. In the following decades, the main lobby was moved into the more modern annex and the original hotel building was torn down. After a brief closure starting in the 1960s, the hotel was refurbished and reopened in the late 1980s. In the year 2017, the current ownership took over operations.
