When we started planning, I was set on a string quartet because my friend had one at her wedding. My dad was the one who suggested a classical guitarist for our ceremony. he hired Guido as a gift. It was perfect in every way. I didn’t realize how romantic the guitar would be like sound just floating in the air. It felt less serious and stuffy than the quartet (which was still lovely but I’m converted, dad!). Having Guido and his guitar was just more “us”. Really romantic and beautiful. We had guido for both the ceremony and a cocktail hour after, and everyone was telling us how much they loved him during cocktails. There were more comments about the guitar than my dress (it’s okay, Guido! I forgive you 😃). Guido is really talented and professional, and the music was just beautiful.

One of the main reasons we picked Guido is because our song is NIB Black Sabbath and we wanted that in the ceremony but we also wanted a kind of traditional music too. At first, we just asked him to do NIB at the end when we walked out, like MARRIED! YAH! Guido suggested adding a classical version to the ceremony. Awesome. so he played traditional wedding music on classical guitar for the ceremony and did a special arrangement of NIB with the classical guitar after we did rings. This ended up being my favorite! I totally cried. Then when we walked out at the end, he got out the flying V and just killed it!! The music was really memorable part of our wedding. My only regret is not hiring him to come to the reception too. We would have had him play a different metal song live for each of our entrances instead of just having the DJ do that part, would have been so cool.

We hired Guido to play both the Ceremony and some of the rehearsal for our son's wedding. We provided Guido some of our requests, and he composed wonderful renditions that flowed seamlessly, all instrumental. What we found most impactful for our event was the care and time Guido took to understand what we wanted and matching the volume to the atmosphere. He brings his own equipment and tunes for the venue to make sure all guests have the same experience. He played with passion and grace, which made our requests come alive. It was hard not getting emotional while walking down the aisle and during the ceremony. Guido is someone that must be on your list if you are looking for instrumental music without having a full band. He will make your event more special through his renditions and guitar style. We would hire him again in a heartbeat for other events where we would like guitar music behind the scenes, yet right up front for our guests.

Guido performed the music for our wedding ceremony in June and truly made it a day we will remember for the rest of our lives! His skill and expertise with the guitar cannot be emphasized enough with mere words. He was flexible, understanding, and EXTREMELY patient with all of our requests and put in the time to both perfect and exceed all of our expectations. There were a number of things we would have gone back and changed for our wedding day, but choosing Guido to perform the music for the ceremony is one of the very few things that is set in stone!

We were so fortunate to have Guido play for our wedding because he performance was phenomenal and so easy to work with! He really took the time to understand our vision for the ceremony, accommodated all of our requests, and took the initiative to coordinate with the other musician during the rehearsal and wedding. In addition to accommodating our requests, he also had great playlist suggestions since we didn't know what we were doing. :) He was organized and communicated clearly every step of the way! We highly recommend Guido to other couples!
