I can not say enough wonderful things about my engagement ring, my wedding band, and my husband's wedding band. I was looking for something that had an antique look. It has become very popular so you'd think it would be easy to find right? Wrong! I looked online and in several jewelry stores but all the rings looked like cookie cutter rings of each other. I didn't want my rings to look like everyone else's. I wanted something special and unique. I wanted to have some say in what my ring would look like. I even worked with another jeweler on having a custom made ring before finding Gemstone Designs. The other jeweler's idea of a custom ring was for the salesperson to write down my ideas and take it back to the jeweler and then come back and tell me what he "could probably do" to make it come out like I wanted it. That is not what I asked for. I found Gemstone Designs online when doing a search for "unique antique engagement rings". Gemstone Designs custom makes all their jewelry. They specialize in hand engraving which is beautiful and makes each piece look unique. The minute my husband (boyfriend at the time) and I walked into Gemstone Designs we knew we were in a different kind of jewelry store. It was not the kind of pushy jewelry store we had visited so many times before. William "Bill" Patty greeted us will a warm smile and laid back personality. He asked us a few questions to find out exactly what we were looking for and showed us a few pieces that were already made and in the display cases. Within five minutes he brought out, Tim, who is one of the jewelers and does the hand engraving out to meet us and talk a little bit about what they do and how they do it. (I never even met the jeweler at the other store and I was in there five times) After some thinking and deciding what I wanted exactly I came up with what I wanted and they made it. When my husband proposed to me and I saw the ring for the first time I almost passed out because it was so beautiful. Even though I had basically told them exactly what I wanted it was so much more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. Gemstone Designs prices are very reasonable as well. If you don't believe me then do some shopping around for yourself and you won't get a more beautiful ring for a price anywhere close!
