Loved working with Nicole & Alina - even though I'm a few states away I was able to get everything taken care of via emails and phone calls. Appetizers & drinks at the Art Bar were an awesome hit to start our vow renewal! It was also helpful that they work with the folks at the Mob Museum (where we had our ceremony). ❤ On a side note, Alina and Nicole work as part of an awesome team - Elizabeth (concierge) at the Grand also helped me by scheduling my hair appointment at an offsite salon. The day of brought us Elmer and Norma (our bartender goddess) & they both went above and beyond to ensure that we and our tribe had an awesome day together. I highly recommend working with the Grand team whether you are close by or across the country as they make it an easy process.

My husband and I came over to Las Vegas from the UK to find a wedding reception venue in February 2015, for our June 2016 wedding. We'd already booked the Neon Museum for our ceremony and stumbled across the Downtown Grand on our last day. From that second everyone there couldn't have been more helpful!

We made an enquiry about private rooms and were immediately given a tour of the premises and shown all the different options available. We fell in love with the Downtown Grand and the Mob Bar (now the Las Vegas Room) straight away, and we loved the link to the fact we were getting married in front of the Lady Luck sign. It was a nice story to tell our guests. We were only going to be a small group of about 15-20 people over from the UK and it was the perfect size AND we were able to have the duelling pianos as our entertainment that we were so desperate to have. We booked 5 hours in the Mob Bar for immediately after our 3pm ceremony, with a buffet and drinks paid for per guest per hour at a really reasonable price.

Planning a destination wedding is daunting, but everyone at the Downtown Grand was amazing via email, incredibly responsive. We met with Ruben on the Friday prior to our Monday wedding and he put our minds at ease about everything. He sorted out how we would play our own music for the first dances, table decorations and other small details that had been playing on my mind.

On the actual wedding day everything ran smoothly, the food was delicious and Ruben was there every step of the way to make sure we had everything we needed. The Downtown Grand even allowed for us to have a quick couple of photos of all our guests around a craps table and we bought our guests gambling chips as table favours so we could all go and play together after our time in the Mob Bar was over.

Overall we couldn't be happier with our experience at the Downtown Grand and we're looking forward to returning and staying there next year for a late 1 year anniversary break.

Downtown Grand exceeded all of my expectations as well as my guests! Everyone truly enjoyed themselves and all the amenities offered by the property! Nicole and Alina went above and beyond the "call of duty" to ensure my day was a success and I will be forever grateful!

We cannot say enough about our experience. from bartender to bellhop, everyone made us feel like stars. We did have to lift a finger, and got to enjoy every little moment. Nicole has the most amazing bedside manor and she lead us through each detail and conducted the whole day beautiful. Did I mention we are not the easiest to please? My husband and I met working in Hospitality and Fine dining. I was Front of house and he a Chef. We had not a single critique or complaint. Our drinks were always full and our hearts happy. And boy, did the food blow us out of the water. we weren't expecting it to be so gourmet. it was wonderful! and Nicole even made sure we got to enjoy it. If you choose The grand for your special event, I can promise you that you won't regret it.

Quality of Service: From the moment I reached out, the staff at Downtown Grand was friendly and so attentive.

Responsiveness: I reached out during the week between Christmas and New Years and got a fast response to my initial questions from Alina, a call with Nicole, who is the director of catering, and a site visit. While other venues were making me wait until after the holidays, to move forward, the staff and Downtown Grand was very accommodating. Throughout the entire process both Nicole and Alina answered my questions, met with me on several occasions, and sent me templates to help me plan the wedding. I didn't have a wedding planner so this type of responsiveness was extremely helpful!

Professionalism: Nicole, Alina and Ruben were extremely professional. They constantly reminded me that I could call them with any questions. They made me feel like I was the only bride they were working with and always had great recommendations. Alina was amazing during the rehearsal walking us through the processional. I didn't have a wedding planner so having Alina and Ruben holding my hand made the process much easier.

Value: We were working on a very strict budget for a ceremony/reception site. Instead of charging us a site and a ceremony fee and all sorts of pesky fees other venues added on, we were able to use our entire budget towards F&B. We ended up with a nice selection of appetizers for a social hour and a cocktail hour, plus we were able to offer our guests a premium select open bar. For the same price, other venues were offering one glass of champagne per guest and a cheese and fruit platter. An extra on value was the decor in the Las Vegas Room is amazing so very little decor on our end was needed.

Flexibility: We were able to use our own photographer, bring our own PA system, use our own cake vendor, bring our own flowers and provide our own table cloths.

Our wedding was on 4/28/17 on the pool deck at the downtown grand, and it was beautiful! As with any wedding planning there are always hiccups, but the day of our wedding was flawless, thanks to Nicole, Jan, Tony, and Ruben. Nicole and others took care of everything, so much that all I had to worry about was getting primped and prepped. Nicole was by my side from the beginning of the ceremony until the end and I couldn't be more grateful. If you're as neurotic and nervous as I was in the months leading up, don't worry! They all came through in the end and it was the best time! We were unable to sample the appetizers because that was our only food, so I was nervous about that, but everything was excellent. Thank you all so much for putting up with me and my many questions, emails, frantic phone calls. It didn't go unnoticed! Our wedding guests and wedding party all stayed in the clean and updated rooms and everyone was very happy with their accommodations as well as the pool. I am here to review Nicole Ashby and her team. Dec 19, 2015 my husband and I had our wedding reception in the Grand Ballroom. I have to say, Nicole and her team met and exceeded my expectations! When we first considered The Grand I have to say Nicole's excitement at potential having our celebration there was a main factor. She arranged for everything without us worrying about much at all. From the food tasting, to table linens, personalized reception drink for me and my groom, arranging for uplighting, to bringing us each drinks and food before entering our reception (and during!). Her and her staff always made sure we were never at a need for anything.
I arrived Friday before the wedding and brought all my reception items (and I never had to touch them again until I got them home!) and staff picked up and stored my items, and on the day of my wedding, they both arranged and cleaned up my reception space (Grand Ballroom). We got a wonderful room upgrade with a great view (the room was gorgeous!), a bottle of Champagne, chocolate dipped strawberries & the sweetest card in our suite when I arrived! The Grand Ballroom looked incredible!!!! Our guests were very impressed (and many of them stayed at the hotel!) with the Grand and their staff. Highly recommended!!

We had a fantastic wedding at the Downtown Grand. The whole staff worked very hard to make it a fantastic day for my husband and myself. Our families and friends only had good things to say about the event. Weddings can be stressful but the staff did everything in their power to handle any issue that arose and made sure that we got to enjoy our big day.

We went with the wedding package offered by the Downtown Grand, which included everything you need for a wedding. Flowers, pastor, photos, music, cake, food, booze - everything! My husband and I live in Connecticut and we were not all that enthused about planning a wedding. So, this package made it easy. The hospitality during our stay before the wedding was top notch. We definitely felt like VIPs. The wedding itself was a lot of fun.
