Don Johnson's had a good selection and everyone was friendly, but the experience wasn't great. There was only one person helping people with dresses the day that I shopped so my consultant had to keep bouncing between me and someone else and there was a lot of waiting. And ahead of time, I called to see if they had particular dress styles and the person on the phone said yes but they didn't after I got there. I still found the perfect dress and everything was alright so I bought through them.
The dress came in a couple of months sooner than expected and they were great about keeping in contact with me on scheduling. I did, however, ask when I tried on the dress how difficult alterations might be because I was concerned about that being a high cost. I was told it was easy so that wasn't a problem. At my first fitting, the seamstress let me know that it would be particularly difficult and expensive to alter the dress. Not happy about that. But the seamstress was incredibly talented and kind and the work she did was beautiful.
Overall, everything went smoothly but they do need to communicate a bit better or at least make sure everyone is knowledgeable on what they offer or at least know to defer to someone who does know better.
