Wedding planning is never easy, but with my wife being Guajarati Indian and me being Christian American, we faced a monumental task of planning two weddings in order to honor both traditions. Although many decisions planning our wedding(s) were extremely complex, picking our DJ was a breeze. We had previously attended an Indian wedding reception with DJ Jazz in Atlanta and we were impressed with his ability to seamlessly transition between songs, and his knowledge of both Indian and American dance music. He actually mixes music from his booth and is so much more than just some guy playing songs from his laptop.
When it came time to plan our own wedding(s) we were looking for a DJ to cover the Sangeet, Baraat, Hindu Ceremony, Christian Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, and our Wedding Reception. We hired DJ Jazz to cover all our events, and could not have been happier. What I appreciated most about working with Jazz was his professionalism, both in the planning stages of the wedding(s) as well as the actual wedding weekend itself. DJ Jazz was prepared well in advance of each event, and delivered quality sound inside, outside, and even from the back of van for my Baraat. He even provided the intelligent lighting and custom monogram.
The reception was the high point of the weekend when everyone was able to cut loose and enjoy themselves after a long day of ceremonies. DJ Jazz delivered a lively, fun, and exciting playlist that featured both Indian and American dance music. He kept the party going the whole night, and I received numerous complements on the quality of the music. It’s no easy task to please both families, especially when our families are so different, but that’s what exactly what Jazz did. I could not imagine hiring anyone else for our wedding, and would highly recommend his services to anyone in the future. In fact, we already did. He DJ’d our cousins wedding about two weekends after ours and delivered yet another amazing night of dance and music.
