Crooked Creek Guest Ranch

We had the most amazing wedding experience at Crooked Creek. We spent the entire weekend surrounded by our favorite people in one of the most beautiful places. The ease of having family and friends stay right there, not having to worry about driving or transportation made it so everyone was able to enjoy and relax all evening. So many areas for beautiful photographs and everyone on the Crooked Creek team was so easy to work with. They have plenty of packages to meet your needs, and are constantly continuing to find more ways to make your wedding day even better. We got married at the end of June, and it was windy, and got a little chilly at night, but that did not stop any of us from having an amazing night dancing and partying, we just threw on sweatshirts :) Again, we cannot stop talking about the most magical night of our lives, at beautiful Crooked Creek!

My daughter's wedding reception was held at Crooked Creek Guest Ranch and it went perfectly! From the tent, to set up, to the buffet and everything in between, working with Lori and Colin was a breath of fresh air and I knew we were in good hands. They are kind and professional and were helpful every step of the way. The area is gorgeous and the memories made and pictures taken are unforgettable. Many of our guests stayed there and loved it! I 100% recommend Crooked Creek for any event and we will absolutely work with them again!

Our wedding at Crooked Creek was absolutely perfect. The staff there were incredibly helpful and flexible with our plans. Their calm demeanor made our day truly stress-free. And the food! Several guests told us it was the best wedding food they have ever had - and I would agree! The staff even packaged up the leftovers for us to pick up when we were ready. 10/10 - highly recommend!

I would highly recommend Crooked Creek as a venue to get married. They outdid themselves!

We had a beautiful wedding here and overall really enjoyed the venue! The setting is absolutely gorgeous, and we really appreciated how flexible and workable they were with us throughout the weekend. It’s a great little mountain venue, and our wedding turned out beautifully.

I did want to leave a few honest notes for future couples because there are some things I wish we had known ahead of time.

There is no wedding planner or day-of coordinator included, so be prepared to handle all of the planning, setup, organization, and details yourselves or hire someone separately. We were able to make everything work, but it is definitely something to plan for.

The ceremony area by the pond is beautiful, but because this is a mountain property, the ground is naturally uneven and there are holes/dips in some areas. We asked about having some of them filled or flattened and were told they prefer not to alter the natural landscape, which is completely understandable — just something to keep in mind, especially for guests wearing heels or anyone who may have difficulty walking on uneven ground.

The cabins are cute and worked well for our group, but there are a few things I would recommend preparing for. Our gas wasn’t working the first night and it was freezing, and the older heaters in the cabin weren’t working well. I think updated heaters would be a great improvement. There also wasn’t a closet or designated area to hang clothing, which was a little tricky with a wedding dress and bridal party attire, so definitely bring a garment rack if you need one. There also wasn’t an iron or ironing board in our cabin, so I would recommend bringing a steamer.

My biggest disappointment was the white tablecloths provided for the reception. Several had noticeable stains, and one looked like it had Sharpie marks all over it. For a wedding reception, I do think the linens should be clean and in good condition, so I would recommend either checking them beforehand or bringing/renting your own if that is important to you.

None of these things ruined our wedding by any means. We had a wonderful weekend, the location was beautiful, and we appreciated the flexibility we were given to make the space our own. I just wanted to leave an honest review so future couples can come prepared and know exactly what to expect. With a little extra planning and preparation, this can be a really beautiful and special place to tie the knot!
