Cocomoes catered our wedding and did an amazing job! The food prepared was excellent and all of our guests loved it. We decided on the bbq menu. So tasty! Being a wedding, there was much communication involved. Cocomoes did a great job with hashing out all the important details involved. They made our wedding day very special, i would not go back and change anything about it. Highly recommended!

Ben and Amber were incredible. From the first phone call to final cleanup everything was precise, delicious and you can tell they love what they do! Communication is always key for a wedding and theirs was impeccable! Don’t hesitate to call them for a great wedding reception!

Dishonest, Bad Business

I hired them for my wedding, to serve 100 people. My wedding was in Sep 2019 and I initially did a tasting and booked services in Jan 2019, choosing to pay the majority of costs then. A week before my wedding I received a quote for my final head count that was much more than expected. I received a call shortly after where I was told they had forgotten to include taxes and tip in the original quote. I looked back at our email correspondance and it had said on the original quote that all taxes and tip were included in that price. I forwarded this to the caterer, and my bill was adjusted.

Also prior to the event, I had asked multiple times to see what the plating looked like and was unable to get pictures until shortly before. I also had been told they would be providing water goblets, and assumed this meant they would be serving water to guests. When I asked about this closer to the event they said actual water service would be an extra charge, so I had to rent and fill my own water pitchers. I was told in January napkins could be in burgundy color. A little over a week before was told this wasn't possible. Asked if gold was ok, was told that wasn't available either.

Night of dinner service, some of the food items were served differently then initially agreed upon. Instead of stir fried vegetables as a side, guests were served steamed vegetables. Instead of a three meat dinner option, they were given two meat choices.

I think the worst part for me was that they said they would box up left over food for us to take home. The day of I was able to eat very little of the food due to nerves/being busy greeting guests, and was looking forward to trying more of the food the next day. However, they did not leave any extra food behind for us. I had paid for 107 guests and my count that night ended up being more like 95. It was $36/person .. and there was no food left over?

I had some amazing vendors for my wedding, but catering was not one of them. I suggest anyone who uses their services be highly cautious of the terms of your contracts and what is expected in your service. Using them added so much extra stress to planning my wedding and I'm just so bummed about not getting any leftovers boxed up for us like was promised.
