In 2017, the St Thomas, Jamaica native, Mercedes Shepherd created Cedes Beauty studio after winning a scholarship to complete a course in makeup artistry. This became the beginning of a new journey for her and one which she gained a different level of self confidence and purpose. In 2018 she went on to the University of Technology, Jamaica to pursue her second dream of becoming a media professional; all while working full time as a makeup artist. She has now completed her bachelors degree in Communication, Arts and Technology and is now working as an independent journalist, digital marketing consultant, makeup artist and full on entrepreneur. She has then used her talents hand in hand to build her brand in the makeup industry. Who said there has to be limits?

Shanoya Gordon is a St Thomas, Jamaica, native that found her passion for hair at the age of 12. She started by trying different styles on her friends and family which groomed her for her current position as a hairstylist at Cedes Beauty Studio.
