When my Fiancé and I started looking at venues, we immediately fell in love with Casa de los Siete Patios. We thought that the location was perfect and that the "all inclusive" nature of the venue would work well for us. However, we were sorely mistaken. We gladly signed the provided contract ensuring we would pay on time monthly or forfeit our wedding date and any money we had already paid. As our wedding date got closer, it became clear to us that we would not be able to safely or legally have our wedding due to the Covid 19 virus. We immediately got in contact with Casa de los Siete Patios to cancel our wedding and request a refund. Even though our contract stated that if there was a "force of nature" event that we would be refunded in full, Casa de los Siete Patios refused and after much back and forth, only agreed to pay us a portion of our money and for the remainder give us a credit for a stay. However, they stated that they would not be able to give our money back immediately and instead signed and provided another contract stating they would pay us back in either payments or a lump sum by December of 2020. Over the months leading up to December, we would periodically reach out to make sure our repayment was still on schedule. Each time, they reassured us we would be paid by December and that we needed to be patient. It is now December of 2020 and Casa de los Siete Patios is refusing to refund our money. They have said that they spent our wedding money already, even though we never had our wedding, and they need to wait to regain profits to pay us. This has left us out of thousands of dollars and unable to have our wedding or even a simple ceremony because they have stolen our money and refuse to give it back. We are very understanding people and gave Casa de los Siete Patios 6 months to repay us, but they are taking advantage of our kindness. 2020 has been hard on everyone, but Casa de los Siete Patios needs to adhere to contracts that they sign and provide. We are writing this review to warn potential couples that there money is not safe with Casa de los Siete Patios. We still keep faith that we will be paid our money soon, but we have no faith that Casa de los Siete Patios is capable of providing the quality of service a couple looking to start their life together deserves.Sent on 12/21/2020
Casa de los Siete Patios's reply:Mikayla and Oscar, I am truly surprised to read your slanderous review, above all because Casa de los Siete Patios has been in touch with you about our full intentions to refund your wedding deposit. The world is fully aware of the caotic tragedy provoked by Covid-19 and have informed you that we are sorry to be unable to fulfill our commitments presently, but never said that we won’t pay you. So we have not stolen from you as you claim. We told you we have an agenda of payments, but unfortunately you have not understood the situation dictated by governments of lockdowns and demand immediate payment. We have told you many times we are sorry about the inconviences caused all of us. You have threatened us and are now focused on using media to defame us, which makes us consider suing you in the USA for defamation because you are lying. We shall not permit your slanderous comments, as we are a serious business, as many happy clients can testify. Out business dates 73 years due to our focus on exceptional service. In spite that many wedding venues have opted not to refund deposits, we are making every effort to continue deposits, but this fact is something you have not understood. We sincerely lament your false declaration that we can’t give quality service if didn’t cater your wedding, but because you haven’t received your refund. We are really upset that you resorted to this attack, as we have always been attentive to your requests, as I assure you we are doung our best. Dec. 2, 2020,,,, NOTE: If you are reading this reply as a prospective couple, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Wr can reassure you of our honesty and capability to celebrate a wedding your guests will never forget. We have dizens of testimonies available of satisfied couples that have celebrated the most important day of their life at Casa de los Siete Patios.
