Canemount Historic Inn and Events in Lorman, Mississippi, is a newly renovated and brand new wedding venue and event space. This breathtaking venue for weddings and other special events is nestled in Claiborne County near Windsor Ruins in Lorman - midway between Natchez and Vicksburg, and is the perfect countryside escape. With exceptional services, stunning landscapes, beautifully appointed spaces and guest suites, a dedicated and detail-oriented team, newlyweds are sure to have a truly seamless and unforgettable experience.
Facilities and Capacity
With plenty of event spaces throughout, this 40-acre property exudes timeless elegance with rustic charm, making it a breathtaking backdrop for any kind of celebration. The property is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. Many buildings date back to the late 1700s. The Estate House, circa 1850, is a stately backdrop for a ceremony on the lawn. With 360-degree gallery porches, guests can mingle following the reception with a champagne toast and passed hors d'ouevres. Between the Estate House and the Pool House/Original Kitchen is a lovely courtyard with a bubbling fountain, offering a delightful atmosphere for gathering before the reception. The Lodge with a barn-type setting awaits a joyous celebration complete with floor-to-ceiling windows, a double-sided fireplace, and space for up to 250 guests (up to 90+ seated). Newlyweds can dine, mingle, and dance the night away surrounded by their nearest and dearest in a fantastic space.
Services Offered
From start to finish, our talented events team will be there to ensure everything goes off without a hitch. We go above and beyond to ensure every detail reflects the wonderful love story behind it all. We offer three price points, which are all-inclusive of the event space (tables, chairs, linen, glassware, china, flatware), staffing, on-site catering, and an open premium bar. Prices are per person and vary depending on the type of reception (buffet cocktail reception, buffet seated dinner, or seated dinner).
Event time is 3 hours, which includes the ceremony and reception. For events with 75 or more guests, event time is 4 hours, which includes ceremony and reception, and includes passed hors d'oeuvres and a champagne toast at no additional charge.
For intimate ceremonies, we offer 1-hour elopement packages for up to 6 guests, and a separately priced package for up to 20 guests.
What's more, Canemount Historic Inn and Events boasts 12 private guest suites in 4 buildings throughout the property for overnight accommodations. Overflow accommodations can be arranged through our local partners.
All packages include use of the property for ceremony, reception, and photo shoots for both engagement and wedding photos. Additionally, we are just down the road from the famous Windsor Ruins - a wonderful photo backdrop for engagement photos, as well - and the Bethel Chapel. We are located just north of Alcorn State University and Oakland Chapel, complete with the staircase from Windsor.
