How did Cake & Cows Company Came to Life!
The inspiration for Cake and Cows began with my family. My Grandma Phyllis had a way of surprising our family with homemade pies. It was her thoughtfulness and my sweet tooth that inspired me to start baking many years ago. Shortly after I graduated Western Culinary Institute. I worked in a French Bakery, Morden French Cuisine plating desserts and Organic rustic desserts. I envisioned a charming country bakery with fresh, from scratch Cakes, Cupcakes and Assorted Sweets that focused on high quality ingredients and timeless taste. Everyone asks us how I came up with the name? The name “Cake and Cows" was concocted a couple years ago working on my parents ranch. It seemed fitting since I make cakes and work with cows on a daily basis. The memories from my mom and grandma's kitchens have been recreated through Cake and Cows with a new but bring you back to your childhood days. Laura made the most beautiful and delicious red velvet naked cakes for our wedding with a milk chocolate ganache. The cake was beyond amazing!
