Blackberray Ridge is a venue brought to life by love, faith, and family.

This beautiful barn stands on land rich with legacy—ground passed down from Ray and Agnes Houk to their son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Holly Houk. What began as a dream quickly became a leap of faith when the family set out to design and build the venue in just 90 days—from the first pillar to the heartfelt “I do’s”—all to give their only daughter the wedding she had always dreamed of.

Many told us it couldn’t be done. They said we were crazy. But together, as a family, we proved otherwise.

Ryan moved dirt on a skid loader. Holly spent hours 30 feet in the air on a lift, hanging linens and florals. Our sons hauled dirt, built fire pits, and laid sod. And Agnes—at 83 years old—trimmed ferns, arranged florals, and lovingly prepared for the big day. It was truly a family labor of love, and the result was something incredibly special.

The vision for Blackberray Ridge has always been simple: to offer full-service wedding venue options that don’t break the bank for young couples just beginning their lives together.

And no—the name is not a typo. Blackberray Ridge is named in honor of Ray Houk, the farmer and real estate broker who purchased this land in 1984 and cherished the wild blackberry bushes that still grow along the perimeter of the fields.
