The Historic Bates Mansion is a vintage wedding venue situated in Tucson, Arizona. Owned and operated by husband-and-wife duo David and Allie Lazarus, this enchanting property provides celebrations of all shapes and sizes with a rustic hacienda-inspired backdrop. The mansion was once occupied by businessman C.T.R Bates and was the meeting place for the prestigious local institution, the Mountain Oyster Club. David and Allie first fell in love with it when looking for a venue to host their own wedding festivities. Upon purchasing the property, they began redesigning it to provide private events with an inviting old-pueblo-style atmosphere right in the heart of downtown Tucson. It has been fully renovated for a feeling of both comfort and convenience and features inviting event spaces, invaluable amenities, an in-house caterer, and more.
Facilities and Capacity
Available for private events of all shapes and sizes, The Historic Bates Mansion can comfortably accommodate up to 250 guests in total. It is perfect for hosting every stage of your celebration, from your joyous engagement party to your fun-filled reception and everything in between. The entire space is fully-furnished to radiate a unique sense of character, with stunning views of the Tucson City skyline and the Catalina Mountain Range. For added convenience, get-ready rooms are also available, allowing you to prepare for your special day in secluded peace and privacy.

A seasoned event coordinator, Allie is ready to make planning your wedding at The Historic Bates Mansion a seamless and stress-free experience. She offers a selection of coordination services to choose from and will assist you in crafting a celebration package that aligns with your specific needs. Her planning services include event design, setup and cleanup, rentals, use of audiovisual equipment, and more. Catering services are also available, allowing you to design your dream wedding-day menu without needing to look for an outside vendor. Choose from a selection of dining options, including passed hors d’oeuvres, plated entrees, buffets, stations, and more, as well as full bartending services.

Absolutely Amazing
Love the Bates Mansion!
Kelly and her team were a joy to work including the dj, photo booth team, and the bartending staff! Kelly was easy to work with, flexible, and knowledgeable. The day before our wedding, Tucson got hit with an unusual snowstorm (I know!) and Kelly was prepared with a Plan B in case the weather was not cooperative the next day. Luckily my wedding day was a beautiful day and the patio was perfect!
The wedding packages were fairly priced and customizable. The dinner options we chose were delicious and the options we chose from were plentiful.
Our friends and family were very impressed with the Bates Mansion and we did not have to stress the day of the wedding knowing that we were in good hands!
