I had the pleasure of working with Autumn Leaf Productions for a recent special event, and I was very impressed with their professionalism and the high quality of their work. What truly sets them apart is their use of real film instead of digital videography. There’s a richness and authenticity to film that simply can’t be replicated with digital cameras, and it brought an elevated, almost timeless quality to the final product. What an incredible experience getting back my wedding film! When I watch the footage, I can’t help but get emotional. I am so over the moon with what we got back from the day. It’s a piece of art lovingly crafted out of some of the most special moments of the most magical time of my life. I was nervous about a million things, and everyone says the day will zip by. It did, actually, but then there were all these big and small moments that were captured that I will always be able to recall - because when I watch our wedding I see a version of myself caught in time. It feels ethereal and perfect and even those parts that didn’t go as planned, with them being captured this way, I can enjoy lingering on the sweetness of surprise. I’m just really pleased. I spent a lot of time reading reviews, picking out stylists and making the plans, and it was so nice to hand the reins for this aspect over to a creative professional – and get back a high quality, aesthetic, edited to perfection video. If you are considering adding this element to your wedding, do it! You’ll have a tangible piece of art from your day plus the video/social reels. It’s incredible to have someone capture so many sacred moments on film. And there’s something really special about the look of it too, the grain, the texture. I can compare to the digital images, and although I love those too, there’s just a certain je ne sais quoi that lives through the film. It’s a trendy thing now, but I have always been into things like this that have a special touch to them. I am just one of those people that even as a kid I loved vintage things. I got to wear my grandmother’s wedding dress that I had restored! Yup, I definitely wanted to have our wedding captured in this way. It added to my whole look. Film reels can last a hundred years. I have so many digital things I can’t access even just a few years later. I have a certain piece of mind that although I have the digital copy, I also have the film reels.
