I knew from the time I was a little girl that I wanted to be an artist of some sort. I was always creating, but it wasn't until my teenage years that I stumbled across a box of my dad's old slide film that I knew what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. I graduated from college with a Bachelors in Art and concentration in Photography from Towson University in 2006. From there I worked for Gannett publications as a photojournalist for several years, then as a portrait photographer and editorial/commercial photographer for dozens of magazines and companies. All the while I photographed weddings which I grew to love more than any other subject matter.
What led me to focus on weddings more than anything was the passing of my mom. Only months before her cancer diagnosis I was married to my best friend Ryan and we had the most amazing wedding which our photographer captured beautifully. Those were some of the only professional quality images I have of her and I together and I cherish them dearly. From that point on I chose to channel my creativity into capturing photojournallism meets contemporary styled photography for couples to have and share for generations to come.
I pride myself on fast turn around times, because I don't think couples should have to wait longer than 2 weeks to see their images. Couples should feel safe in the knowledge that their wedding photographer has many years of technical experience and has encountered and mastered every difficult lighting situation there is. I am always prepared with my own lights and extra equipment to consistently deliver stunning, high quality imagery each and every time. I strive to create a relaxed atmosphere with a laid back attitude while still getting the shots you want most. Your wedding day can be especially stressful, I in no way want to add to that stress.
Perhaps the most surprising and rewarding thing about this work are the relationships that I have built with brides and grooms and their families. I do not take what I do lightly and I am so honored and humbled to be chosen to capture one of the most important day in people's lives.

My husband and I met Amanda at Wedding Show at Seacrets in Ocean City 5 months before our wedding. Immediately, I was drawn to her photos. I’m very indecisive and had been searching for a photographer for several months. Amanda was absolutely amazing from the beginning to end. Jason and I got married on Sunday 09/09/18. Our wedding was supposed to be on the beach at The Big Chill Beach Club, but due to 45mph winds, we ended up getting married in the tent. As soon as dinner finished, we were evacuated due to safety concerns and moved to the bar of the big chill where Amanda had to get extremely creative with her photos and she certainly did! She wasn’t afraid to weather the storm with us & take risks in the wind/rain. Because of the weather we were unable to get many good couple shots. She is allowing us to come back on a pretty day and take some more! She also got our photos (950+) back to us completely edited within 10 days (9/19/18). That’s unheard of. Most people wait over a month at least. She was very reasonably priced and the photos turned out great! Everyone that has complimented on how great her work is. She really went above and beyond to work with our every request & weather interruptions. I highly recommend working with her. You will not be disappointed. :-)
