The Crystal Ballroom at the Arlington was a wonderful reception the site. The food was excellent, and the staff was very friendly. It was so elegant and beautiful. The Arlington is an old hotel and all of the mirrors and fixtures are original, so there is some unique history to this site. Unfortunately, there are some rules and regulations with decorating (i.e. no decor hanging from the light fixtures) and things of that nature.

If you are looking to have a wedding on a budget, this is not the place. You have to spend at least $10,000 on food and drinks. In addition no outside food (except cakes) or liquor can be brought in. It all must be supplied by the Arlington. For us this wasn't a problem, b/c the food was really good and they have a large menu to select from. I liked having lots of heavy appetizers and also a roast beef carving station. In terms of bar service, you can either buy alcohol by the drink OR buy the alcohol by the bottle. (They won't charge you for unopened bottles if you order too many). You can have bottled beer or you can get a keg, the keg is a cheaper option.

You have the room for something like 4 hours. My reception was supposed to be from 7:30 till about 12. It lasted until almost 1, and no one kicked us out. It was nice b/c many of the staff seemed to be having fun watching all of us have a good time (they were seen dancing a little at thier stations). IN addition, they'll let you start decorating whenever you want (as long as there isn't some sort of event before yours). Therefore, we were able to start decorating the night before. All in all, this place was wonderful and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. I couldn't have picked a better place for a reception!!!

Be specific with what you expect as far as table coverings go. If you want it to look nice you need to go somewhere else for table and chair covers. The food was AMAZING!!!!!!!!

The Crystal Ballroom is great; however, we had payment issues where they charged all the rooms to one person, and they threw away the food for the breakfast the next morning.
