Andrew Lastrapes is an assembled Atlanta, Georgia, jazz group built from musicians with over a decade of professional experience and thousands of performances across weddings, corporate events, private parties, restaurants, and special events.

Our focus is live music that adds atmosphere without overpowering the room. We are especially well suited for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, rehearsal dinners, private dinners, father-daughter dances, and elegant background music throughout the day. We are not primarily a high-volume party band or dance reception band; instead, we specialize in tasteful, flexible live music that helps set the tone for the event.

Our sound is rooted in jazz, with a wide range of styles including straight-ahead jazz, swing, bossa nova, second line, gypsy jazz, blues, New Orleans-inspired grooves, ballads, and more modern material. We can also include instrumental versions of classic country, pop, soul, and other familiar songs when the event calls for it.

The ensemble is highly flexible. Clients can choose anything from an intimate guitar duo, clarinet and guitar, vocalist with guitar, classic jazz trio, guitar/bass/drums, horn-led quartet, or a larger ensemble depending on the size and feel of the event. We can perform instrumental music or feature a singer, and we are happy to shape the lineup around the atmosphere you want to create.
