We had a great time with Sharon and Bowie on our wedding day! Not only do they take amazing pictures, but they are super fun as well! And they were there with us for the whole day-from the morning when I was getting ready with my bridesmaids until the very end of the reception and exit. They were prepared for our wedding day-the venue was researched and visited beforehand, the timeline was carefully planned out and executed, and everything went smoothly and stress-free! We would highly recommend them to anyone.

Sharon & Bowie were more helpful and friendly than we ever could have hoped for! Their product is phenomenal and they ease the whole process of organizing a wedding and help everything run so much more smoothly than I believe it ever could have without them! They work so well with other vendors and have so much good advice. You should hire them not only for their outstanding quality as photographers, but also simply because you'll be so grateful to have them there with you on your wedding day!

Sharon and Bowie were amazing! They were professional, flexible, fun and creative! The experience with them was wonderful and we could not have asked for more. The poses they had were different and fun and the pictures we have seen are incredible!

I first met with Sharon as an overwhelmed bride not knowing what direction I was supposed to go in. I knew I would select her to photograph our wedding within the first five mins of chatting. Sharon is so sweet and easy to get along with! You immediately feel at ease with her, and like you have known her for years, and that is important with someone that will be by your side your entire wedding day. Sharon and Bowie took us all around Atlanta for our engagement photos, and we had an absolute blast. My husband and I are sort of shy at first, especially when there are cameras constantly clicking away. Sharon and Bowie instantly put us at ease and it quickly turned into a fun day out with some friends who happen to be holding cameras.
The day of the wedding was an absolute dream. From the moment these two showed up at the salon to snap some pictures, you could just see the wheels turning in their heads of all the creative shots they wanted to get, and that continued the rest of the day. We had an awesome timeline that Sharon put together that kept everyone on schedule which is super important. Everything ran so smoothly with the pre-ceremony shots, and we even had extra time to get some AMAZING shots all through the park.
As the bride, sometimes your wedding day is a blur. With all the excitement, it just all goes by so quickly. Sharon and Bowie captured every little moment that I may not have gotten to see. From the details of the reception to our guests boogying on the dancefloor they captured it all with beautiful images. I swear I don't remember seeing them a whole lot that day, but they captured everything, even the ridiculous, hilarious moments. I will cherish these photos for a lifetime! Sharon and Bowie are so good at capturing the moments that just scream "love". We have been married for three months now and I am having the hardest time selecting the images I want to put in an album. They are all just that good. I want to print them all. I would hire these two again in a heartbeat! They were an absolute blast to work with, and I can't wait to have a reason to use them again.

Sharron and Bowie were absolutely amazing!! We did not have a single problem with them. We did not want traditional wedding pictures. We simply gave them the names of our close family and friends, asked them to follow us around and capture the intimate moments we would share with our guest. They not only met our expectations but exceeded them way beyond. They both have such an artistic eye for catching every beautiful moment that happens on a wedding day. They do take longer to get your pictures back to you, however, it is because they take their job seriously and they will make sure each picture is perfect. You will not receive one complaint from us about them. We highly recommend them!

If I could give better than 5 stars, I would in an instant! On their website, it says Sharon and Bowie are the dream team- I could not agree more! From the very beginning of my wedding planning experience, I knew I wanted a fantastic photographer. I wanted a photographer who would be fun and happy and enjoy the day while doing their job. I wanted someone who loves so much what they are doing it wouldn't matter that they work long days, long hours, and you can't even tell they are tired. I wanted a photographer who lives and loves life and I got everything I wanted and more with Alternative Life Photography and Design! I had a wardrobe malfunction with my dress literally 10 minutes before I was supposed to walk down the aisle. I would have been completely alone (long story I walked through a vineyard and had to take a gator to the place where I'd walk through) if it had not been for Sharon staying behind to get pictures with me on the way to my walking spot, I don't know what I would have done! Sharon kept me calm after my dress had ripped, telling me encouraging words and really being a go-getter to help fix the situation. She made me stop, breathe, and realize it didn't matter. All that mattered was I getting married to the love of my life. Sharon and Bowie were fantastic at everything. They did all the mandatory family photos quick and had some great ideas for photos with the wedding party and us as the bride and groom. Not to mention- I met with Sharon countless times before our wedding to do our save the dates and invitations! We got a package deal with ALP&D by doing our save the dates, invites, and photography for the invite. Sharon really let us have our personal style as a couple mixed with her design ideas and it all turned out gorgeous! We were so happy to work with them and hope to find a reason to work with them again in the future! :)

These guys are AMAZING! I'm a teacher and Alternative Life goes down in my grade book with an A+, a gold star, AND a "great job" sticker. Can't get much better than that!
Communicating with Sharon pre-wedding was always super easy. She gave me her number and her email address and told me to write or call anytime with any questions. Sharon was super knowledgeable and helpful, which was important to me as a long-distance bride without much planning help from her mother. She was always willing to help in any way she could, even sending me a timeline for the day with her recommendations for photography appended.
On the day of the wedding, it got even better! She showed up wearing a butterfly in her hair, which is totally symbolic of her happy-go-lucky, easy, relaxed spirit, which just filled my wedding day with such sweetness and light. My husband was really worried about the pictures, but as soon as he met and talked to Sharon, he was putty in her hands. She's got such a great presence! But that doesn't mean she's not totally serious about her work--no, serious is Sharon's middle name when she steps behind that camera. She's just serious AND sweet, which has got to be the perfect combination! My wedding party and family felt so relaxed and confident in Sharon that we just didn't even pay attention to the camera unless we were specifically told to look at the lens. This resulted in some great, romantic, candid photos which truly captured the emotions of the people at my wedding.
And of course, since the pictures are one of the main things you want a photographer for (of course!) I'm going to spend a lot of time talking about how great hers were. Just a few weeks after the wedding, I got a CD of the high-res images in the mail, and I couldn't have been more happy with them! Photos came with three finishes--color, black & white, and vintage--all of which are gorgeous and unique! Everyone to whom I've shown my pictures has just gasped as soon as they saw the first ones. Sharon's talent is automatically evident and she has a gift in capturing glow and love.
I can't say enough good things about my photographer. She's absolutely one of the best decisions I made for my wedding day, besides the choice to marry my husband. :)

Sharon is AMAZING!! If you are looking for someone who is a joy to be around, has an amazing eye for catching the different shot, and is open to any suggestions for photos you might want, Sharon is your gal. She was with me ALL DAY on the day of the wedding, and we had an amazing time! My day was a lot less stressful because of Sharon. I didn't have to worry about a thing, and any time I was uncomfortable or nervous all I had to do was look at her and she would flash me a smile or tell me how great I looked or that everything was going so smoothly! We have seen a few of our photos already and we couldn't be any happier! We wanted someone with a fresh, unique eye and not a posed and stiff style, and we got EXACTLY what we wanted! We will be using Sharon for our "trash the dress" session in a year, and probably for any other photographic needs we will have in the future! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
