Welcome to A Pryor Engagement, an event planning company started by Pryor Hackleman in 2013. After living in memphis for 6 years working on corporate events, weddings and fundraising, Pryor went out on her own coordinating, designing and planning events across the Mississippi Delta. A lover of all things creative including fashion, interiors, events & DIY projects, Pryor puts her heart & soul into each and every event, no matter how big or how small. Pryor has years of experience in the event planning business and would love to help you with your event. With her first baby on the way, Pryor and her husband, Andy, are busy getting ready for their own life-changing events! But it has not slowed her down. Pryor has weddings and parties booked through 2015! a little background During her time in college, Pryor served as the Vice President of the MSU Fashion Board, producing and coordinating over 12 fashion shows during her two year term. She spent time in New York as a fashion intern at Jane Magazine (Conde Nast) New York, New York and worked as an event design intern in Charleston, SC at Duvall Catering & Events. While living in memphis, Pryor was the Corporate and Social Event Coordinator at Desitnation King Now Leo Events from 2010-2011. She also worked as the Event Assistant at the Memphis Charitable Foundation which included planning events such as the Blues Ball, Jingle Bell Ball, and Buzz Aldrin 40th Anniversary. She dove back into the fashion industry as the Bridal Assistant at Pat Kerr, Inc producing photo shoots and fashion shows including New York Fashion Week. Pryor also gained non-profit experience when she become the Director of Special Events at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Memphis for 2 1/2 years. This job included several events including golf and tennis tournaments, children's toy bash, annual board dinners and all in-house receptions, lunches and openings.
