SIGHTSEEING
For our early arrivals, on Friday we'll organize a trip to Ankara's few but impressive attractions: primarily, the Ataturk Mausoleum and Museum of Anatolian Civilizations. Let us know if you want to join!
HAMAM
Friday night. For those into it, we'll organize a trip to a Turkish bath. This means getting naked in a shared (gender segregated) room, and having a mostly naked guy or lady scrub you down.
REHEARSAL BREAKFAST
Saturday morning. We thought we'd do a dry run of the brief ceremony for our parents, witnesses, and venue staff.
HENNA NIGHT
This one's for the ladies. Autumn will wear a red veil, sing some songs, and get her hands hennaed. Our families will exchange presents, and Devrim and his mom will have to give Autumn gold. Score!
BRIDAL BATH
On the morning of the wedding, Autumn will visit the hamam with her close girlfriends and family to get exfoliated. Traditionally, this is also where she's supposed to bellydance for the groom's mother in order to display her healthiness. Probably she won't do that.
