It's not completely the individual store's fault, but I believe they should make sure the products/services are in excellent condition. They are the stage of quality control.
My husband's braid-style wedding ring was re-sized & they did a bad job. The design was marred where they joined it. My wedding ring's diamond got lost. They readily took it back. Unfortunately, that diamond stands out more than the others, they agreed to change it again, but it still looks different. I gave up.
