He was also unbelievably patient with me — especially when it came to my less-than-stellar emailing skills — and always made me feel supported instead of overwhelmed.
He curated such a beautiful, meaningful ceremony that felt perfectly tailored to us as a couple. We had the absolute pleasure of working with Jim as our officiant, and we truly couldn’t imagine anyone better! From the very beginning, Jim was attentive and genuinely listened to what we wanted for our ceremony. Jim was amazing and we are so happy we found him and chose him to officiate our wedding! From the moment we first spoke to Jim we felt like we’ve known him forever. The best officiant around!
Jim is flexible, knowledgeable, and communicative. He made the ceremony brief, but very meaningful and memorable. Neither of us expected to cry, but when hearing Jim speak I burst out into tears! (Happy tears of course.) He knew to get out of the way for pictures, he spoke quickly because he knew we were freezing, and was very considerate of what we wanted! He also worked very well with our other vendors to plan out the perfect ceremony. I highly recommend!

Jim was always very responsive to our questions and our needs. There were a lot of options for the ceremony and Jim was able to tailor one designed just for us with a wonderful portion for our now blended family. Jim’s officiating was eloquent yet commanding and just the right length… no risk of passing out standing through a long boring soliloquy. He was even able to add in a few personal stories and touches which just made it all the better. After the ceremony Jim was still there for us, making sure we ate, guiding us through pictures and cake cutting and reminding us to take the time to take it all in and enjoy the moment. We could not have been happier with Jim and will recommend him to everyone.

Awesome! You’ll love him!
Look no further for your officiant, hire Jim now! You will love him, your wedding party will love him, your parents will love him and your guests will love him! He’s definitely a savvy veteran with a great voice. Our guests kept saying how wonderful the ceremony was and that they actually paid attention to what was being said because Jim kept it interesting. On the logistical side of things, Jim was responsive and incredibly easy to work with. He promptly sent the signed marriage license the day after the ceremony. He will proof your vows if you decide to write them and make sure yours and your fiancée’s vows mesh (length and material). He’ll ask you to write a bit about your story as a couple (ie. How you met, the first date, a funny story, the engagement story, etc). We gave him quite a bit of material to work with and he made a great script from it. Jim also worked through a unity ceremony with us that he hadn’t done before and customized it to fit us. He’ll send his draft of the ceremony as soon as you send him all the material he needs. Don’t hesitate to make any suggestions; Jim will deliver a ceremony uniquely tailored to each of his couples. Look how fun our ceremony was. Go book Jim now! He’s a great guy who is knowledgeable and professional. You won’t regret it!

My husband and I were honored to have Jim marry us. We met with Jim in person prior to hiring him as our officiant and were so impressed with his knowledge and passion for what he does. We were extremely nervous about what our wedding ceremony would look like, but Jim broke it down and made it so easy. He encouraged us to include a commitment ceremony which was a HUGE hit with family and friends. All our guests were touched by the commitment ceremony and his readings. Our experience with Jim as our officiant was amazing. From start to finish the entire process was so seamless and organized. We loved that we were able to customize our ceremony to exactly what we wanted and any questions we had Jim was very quick to respond. We were able to compose many drafts to make sure that every detail that we wanted was accounted for. For the rehearsal, Jim was extremely clear and made sure when we left everyone was on the same page and all questions had been answered.
Our ceremony went so smoothly and Jim made us feel comfortable as we stood in front of all of our loved ones. We are a few days post and are still receiving messages of praise from guests for how amazing they thought the ceremony was and how much they enjoyed watching and listening to Jim.

He created an incredibly personal ceremony for us that our guests loved. Was a calm, reassuring presence during the rehearsal and wedding day. Could not recommend highly enough!

I cannot say enough about Jim with We Marry U. He is absolutely amazing. He answered all my emails in a timely manner, and heard all of my concerns and worries. Ed is simply the best. From our first meeting, we knew he was perfect for our day. He is friendly, personable and very professional. He was there through the whole process and delivered such a beautiful ceremony. He went above and beyond on the day of the wedding, coordinating with our vendors and he helped facilitate the little things that made our ceremony perfect. Very good wedding officiant!
Jim, was a very professional, responsive, and courteous officiant. We were roughly 7 months from our wedding and still hadn’t found an officiant, after we found him he was very quick to respond. If things were going awry he always new what to say to throw in a little humor to make things go better and he had a great friendly personality to begin with. Over the months we talked very frequently and Jim helped us to create a beautiful ceremony that we will never forget.

We reached out to WeMarryU and we were promptly replied to. Ed was incredibly flexible, especially since he was only given a weeks notice. Ed put together and delivered a lovely ceremony that felt personal even though we only met him a week prior. Jim was our officiant for our wedding. The first meeting we decided to go with him. Jim has an amazing personality and great sense of humor. You can tell he’s done so many weddings. He helped guide us through the planning process, answered any questions we had. He was very flexible, I was a last minute bride on a few ceremony details and Jim would just send me a new version of the ceremony with the changes very quickly. Nothing was a surprise in the ceremony, which I appreciated and he did a great job of giving us all the options for ceremony choices. When we were looking for someone to officiate our wedding, we came across WeMarryU on wedding wire. We reached out to the company and they responded back right away!
We ended up working with Jim. When my then fiancé and I met with him, we felt confident we made the right choice from the beginning. WeMarryU is extremely professional, organized, and committed to help making your wedding day how you want it. There are so many options they have to offer to your liking to make your ceremony perfect.
Jim took the time to get to know us more as a couple well in advance before our wedding day. Jim also took the time to come to our rehearsal dinner two days prior to our wedding, and explained how the ceremony would go to for the rest of our wedding party. He was so patient with everyone, and answered any questions we had!
During the ceremony, you can expect an emotional and intimate service. Our guests gave us many compliments saying how well our ceremony was organized and orchestrated. Jim also speaks very well, which makes him great at his job!
We are so happy we chose WeMarryU for our big day. The only thing we regret is not getting the chance to take a picture with Jim after our day was over.

WOW. How can you possible write a recommendation about the day that was so perfect! Jim Manuel was amazing throughout the entire process, from the initial meeting to follow up emails to keep us on track of what he needed. Simply the best
I found We Marry U through The Knot search. We know a couple other vendors who own their businesses but when it came to an officiant we were in the dark. We didn't want to rope a friend into doing it so I contacted Ed at We Marry U. From the first meeting I knew he was the one we were going to book. It was so easy to talk to him, like we were old friends. Our wedding ceremony went off without a hitch and I truly believe it is because we hired the best officiant in the business.

Ed was amazing to work with. Every single one of our guests commented on how beautiful the ceremony was and how much love they felt throughout the room. From the rehearsal to the ceremony, everything was stellar and organized. Ed was also so helpful and professional with us throughout the pandemic and the 4 postponements we had. He was responsive and went above and beyond for us and our wedding party in general. He allowed us to review the ceremony, make edits, and gave us suggestions when we weren’t sure what was best. We can’t say enoughi positive things about him and highly recommend him for all future wedding couples!

Our experience with Jim was amazing! From the moment I spoke to Jim on the phone I knew that he was going to make our day perfect. After postponing our venue due to the pandemic, Jim helped us create a vow renewal ceremony that recreated our readings from the previous year and was so special to us since we were able to have all our family and friends there that could not attend the previous year. Jim helped us plan a ceremony that captured us as a couple. Jim is so friendly and has a one of a kind personality, that is truly unforgettable. He arrived well before the ceremony to go over everything with us and answer any last minute questions that we had. Jim has a captivating voice and his presence is outstanding. All of our guests were instantly captivated when he started speaking, and continues to rave about him. Many that attended our wedding said that our ceremony was by far the best that they have ever been to and that it was so unique to other wedding ceremony's that they have attended. We could not be more grateful to Jim for officiating our wedding! We first met Jim via Skype (it was peak COVID at the time) and we could immediately sense his knowledge and confidence. Not only could we tell that he had ample experience, but his passion for helping couples during this special time in their lives was evident. Jim was so responsive and accommodating throughout the entire planning process. The ceremony that he wrote for us was so much more than we could have imagined and was personalized from start to finish. My Wife & I got married on 10/9/21. With me being Catholic and her being Episcopalian, we weren’t sure which way we wanted to go with our ceremony. That’s when we just happened to stumble upon WeMarryU. And we couldn’t have gotten any luckier.
Before even hiring them, We were given a “meeting” (which we had to do over FaceTime since we live in NC but were having our wedding in NY) to make sure it would be a good fit for us.
Instantly, we clicked with Jim Manuel. He explained everything, from different ceremony options, to what we needed for wedding day, to even who he was and his history.
We were given readings to choose from, to help on how to write our own vows which was very important to us in our ceremony. Jim also from the moment we hired him, till the day of the wedding, kept in touch with both of us. Not only to make sure we had our license, but to see if we needed help with vows or to show us his draft of his speaking.
Having Jim as our officiant, not only made our day special, but he kept me at ease and helped me personally so much between getting through the rehearsal to even during the ceremony. Your not just getting a officiant, your getting so much more!

Jim from wemarryu exceeded all our expectations. Being that we weren't local, Jim set up a facetime with us to get to know us before we even booked. He wanted to know our story and we followed up with some information about us. Not too sure how we would use it, we were so happy when we saw the first draft. He included so many personal touches and really listened to any minor edits we had. He was professional & responsive and ahead of schedule which always made us feel comfortable. A Perfect Officiant for a Perfect Day
Ed from WeMarryU was fantastic at every stage of the process! We're still hearing comments from friends and family on how amazing the ceremony Ed put together was. My husband and I hired Jim for our May 2021 wedding and he did a phenomenal job. He was very professional, on time and walked us through every step of the process. He made us feel very comfortable as we said our vows and we also received many compliments from our guests about how much they enjoyed him. I highly recommend Jim and the WeMarryU team.

Ed was great to work with! He wrote multiple versions of our ceremony and really took our feedback into consideration for each rewrite…. In the end we had the perfect ceremony that fit our personalities to a T. We received multiple compliments on our ceremony from our guests with many of them saying they had never heard one quite like it… which was exactly what we wanted!!!

Ed - Thank you SOOOOOO much
We got married over the last weekend in Albany, NY. It is pretty urgent for us to find a proper wedding officiant since it is covid time, and we only got 3 weeks to the wedding day.
Ed was recommended by our venue manager, and we were able to get on a facetime call the same day with him! We also made several phone calls with other officiants, but after careful consideration, we both agreed that Ed would be the one who marry us.
Ed walked us through the process in our first call, and help us understand which package suits us best. We later on had a sequent call to finalize the speech, Ed is very flexible and allow us to have my bridesmaid to translate everything he said into Mandarin so our guest on zoom would understand.
On the wedding day, he arrived early and let us know what's gonna happen during and after the ceremony, how the license will be delivered etc. During the ceremony, I can't put enough compliments here, he did a fantastic job!!!!! To the couples who are considering getting married, Ed will be the best choice!!!

Wonderful officiant
Working with Jim was wonderful. From the moment we met him we knew he was the perfect choice for our day. He really took the time when working with us to help make our ceremony special. He helped us each with our vows and was extremely patient when we both had multiple changes. When it came to wedding day we couldn’t have been happier. Beautiful ceremony 9.22.20
Our original wedding plans changed due to COVID and we literally planned our ceremony to include just our immediate family in less than a week. Jim was extremely flexible, quick to respond, and helped us get the date/time we requested. We met with Jim a couple days prior to our ceremony and let me tell you, his warmness and kindness shined from the start. We felt extremely comfortable and as if we knew Jim all our lives. It was a beautiful ceremony and we wouldn’t change a thing. Thank you so much for being a part of our special day and making it so memorable.

Jim was the highlight of our ceremony - literally! He customized every step of our ceremony to make it as personal as possible for my now husband and I. Our guests raved about him, and the amazing job he did to make our ceremony beautiful. Not only is he extremely friendly, but also very professional and understanding. We made a few last minute changes up until the morning of our wedding, and his response was always how we can "do whatever will make our ceremony perfect for us." He is extremely couple-centered, and puts in great time and effort to give his couples the best experience possible. Ed was very professional and did an excellent job. The ceremony was lovely and upbeat. I liked that the fact that it was short and to the point. We met only once to secure the date and discuss the details. Everything else was over email or text. Then COVID 19 hit and we had to change the date from June to August. That was easily moved without a problem. The week before the wedding Ed sent a marriage day check list. Reminding us to bring the marriage license! After the wedding, he mails the signed document and sends a tracking number for the marriage certificate. I had that in my mailbox in less then a week. I also have a PDF copy of the ceremony that was preformed, along with our vows.

Chose the perfect marriage officiant with Ed!
We found Ed last fall when we opted not to get married in a traditional wedding ceremony in a church. We booked and stayed in contact as he was helping us come up with some clever ways to include our four children in wedding ceremony. Everything was perfect until COVID-19 hit and required us to push back our day by another year. Ed was so sympathetic with how we were feeling. He also gave us a great idea to go ahead and get married this year and then do a vow renewal next year with our reception. We did just that and the day was perfect for us this year. He was professional on time and gave us a game plan step by step and he followed it down to every second. We are so happy he had a great suggestion for this year and looking forward to next.

COVID wedding
We had a June 6th wedding that Jim Manuel officiated. All I can say is. "Wow". Jim really went above and beyond for us as our wedding venue was cancelled just two weeks prior. Jim, at last minute, chose to travel over an hour just to officiate our wedding. He was extremely professional from beginning to end and I would recommend this company to any future couples!

Our wedding plans changed 100 times over with the pandemic, including losing our wedding officiant who was a traveling guest. Ed made our wedding ceremony amazing! From the first time we met Ed, till the end of the ceremony, Ed put us at ease. He took so much stress off of us with his calming effect and his professionalism. Ed sent us a copy of the ceremony and we went with his suggestions. His suggestions and format for the ceremony were so much more than we ever expected. Perfect ceremony!
Jim was our officiant for our 11/3 wedding. We chose Jim mostly because of the kindness and realness he showed us during our meeting roughly 2 years ago! He made the planning process of our ceremony so easy, and with a few back and forth emails we had the perfect ceremony! With his guidance we had unique elements that our guests continue to praise. He was loved so much by one of our bridesmaids, that she will be asking him to officiate her vow renewal. Ed was our officiant for our wedding in Lake George on 8/12/17. Being from out of the area, we trusted the list of preferred vendors from our venue to guide us in finding our officiant. We are so glad we did! The moment after we had our first Skype conversation with Ed, my husband and I were both 100% confident than Ed would create a beautiful and personal ceremony for us. He guided us through the marriage license process, made our readers feel comfortable with how they would participate with the ceremony, and overall helped us to know that everything would go smoothly. In the months leading to the wedding day, he worked with us over several drafts of the ceremony, included a stone unity ceremony that our guests loved, and helped to make last minute (the night before!) changes when one of our readers was unfortunately unable to attend due to an emergency. Jim from WeMarryU was the perfect officiant! He was very easy to talk to, open to new ideas, and helped us create a personal and touching ceremony when we were at a loss. He had great ideas for ways that we could personalize a ceremony, and he loved the story of how we met so much that he told it as part of our ceremony. Many of our guests told us how they loved hearing that, since many knew one of us or the other, and didn't really know how we came to be a couple. We wouldn't have even thought to incorporate something like that if it weren't for Jim!
