We had never met Sal but based on his reviews we reached out to discuss having him officiate our May 2025 small wedding. We communicated primarily through email and found him to have high attention to detail and he made every effort to ensure he truly understood what we wanted our ceremony to be. He even connected us with a photographer. He was familiar with our venue and did a great job communicating with us prior to the ceremony. During the ceremony he was warm, funny, professional and perfectly captured every aspect we could have imagined for our ceremony. We absolutely loved working with Sal for our wedding! We told our photographer, Trish Kemp, that we were looking for an officiant, and she highly suggested Sal. She has seen dozens of weddings, and she commented that every time he officiates a ceremony, it’s top notch. And we couldn’t agree more after our ceremony. Sal was fantastic to work with from start to finish. During our first consultation with him, he essentially helped us plan our entire ceremony. He sent us detailed emails with examples, options to choose from, etc. so that our ceremony could be as personalized to us as possible. He was genuinely interested in getting to know us which was hugely important to us in an officiant. We didn’t want to feel like we were getting married by someone who was just “clocking in” for the day — and we didn’t feel that way at all with Sal. We felt that he cared about us and about our day. He thinks of absolutely everything and makes the ceremony planning process so easy. We chose not to have a rehearsal since we did not have wedding parties and did not feel the need for one. Sal made us feel completely comfortable with that decision and still ran through our ceremony with us via FaceTime during the final weeks leading up to the wedding. The day of the wedding, he met with both of us briefly right before the ceremony, calmed our nerves, and reminded us of important points. The ceremony itself was pure perfection, and we felt that we were being married by someone who was part of our family. Sal is a fantastic officiant that we cannot recommend enough. If you don’t want your ceremony to feel like it’s generic, and if you want your officiant to be someone who has a strong presence yet isn’t “showy,” Sal is your guy. -

Amazing!!!
My sister suggested Sal for our wedding after she saw him as a justice of the peace at one of her co-workers weddings. We're so thankful she did, because we couldn't have found anyone better. He was great from the very first online meeting through the end of our special day. You could tell he had so much experience and made us both calm, because we all know how stressful planning a wedding can be. He was thorough and respectful every step of the way and not to mention so very appreciative of us choosing him. Sal was a truly wonderful Justice of the Peace for our wedding ceremony on 10/21/23. When we had our first video call with him, he spent nearly 2 hours explaining the whole process to us, getting some more information about how my husband and I met, and what we would like for our ceremony. He was very quick to respond to any questions we had and was very flexible with making changes to the ceremony plan. The day before the wedding, Sal walked us through the rehearsal and was incredibly kind and funny while helping us get ready for the wedding. When we got engaged and started planning our wedding, I asked my now husband who was going to marry us. Right away he said, "I have a guy!" Sal had officiated my sister-in-law's wedding! We can't say enough great things about working with Sal as our Justice of the Peace! To us, the ceremony was the most important part of our day, and we wanted to make sure we chose the right person to help us begin our lives together. Our first meeting with Sal was over zoom, and we immediately knew he was going to be amazing. He went into all the details to make sure we were comfortable and had the perfect ceremony that fit us. Sal was great! We didn’t know what to expect with a Justice of the Peace for our wedding but Sal more then delivered. His zoom meetings and preparations were very helpful, and he suggested things we may have overlooked otherwise. One example of this is the sand ceremony, I had never heard of it before, but he asked us about it and I’m so glad we did it - definetly a highlight for me! My husband and I found Sal through the preferred vendors list at our wedding venue thinking he was probably great, but your typical justice of the peace, we were very wrong. Sal exceeded our expectations in so many ways. We first met him at the end of 2019, to be married July 2020. He was warm and friendly from the start. He took the time to really get to know us, our vision, and offer advice. We could tell instantly that he loves what he does, it is not just a job for him. He is talented with his wording and thoughtfulness on every wedding he performs. We left our first meeting with him comfortable and confident our wedding ceremony would be perfect. Then, COVID happened. My husband and I decided we still wanted to be married in July 2020, but it was going to have to be very different than we initially planned. Sal was extremely flexible and helpful in making sure our day was special. We got married in my husbands parents backyard on the lake with 8 people in attendance, Sal included. It was the best day of our lives, and Sal truly helped make it special given the circumstances. My husband and I decided we still wanted to have a celebration with family and friends in the future, and Sal was more than willing to accommodate our renewal of vows ceremony in December 2022. He would check in periodically and at this point I was to be 6 months pregnant at the time of our renewal of vows celebration. Sal added our upcoming joy to the ceremony perfectly, again he was thorough, detailed, and very heartfelt with his words. We had special circumstances regarding Sal as we worked together navigating a wedding through COVID, then hoping for a renewal of vows ceremony in the future, still dealing with unknowns. We literally felt like Sal had become family at this point after working with him for 3 years. We couldn’t have imagined working with a more patient, kind, talented justice of the peace. It was a devastating time for us to have to plan and replan a wedding multiple times during COVID, but Sal helped us throughout the whole process and is a huge part of our love story. -

Sal was so lovely throughout the entire process. He sat down and had a 2-hour long zoom call with us to get to know us/our love story and to discuss his process/his ceremony. Sal was awesome! We had been googling JPs and came across him and then had a couple people reccommend him to us so we just knew he had to be good, and he really was. He was so easy to talk to and provided us with a detailed draft of our wedding ceremony. He even convinced us to do our own vows which we were so glad he did because it added a very nice personal touch to our ceremony. He was available if we had questions, he provided us with examples of vows, readings, other ceremony ideas, etc. He was a big part of our day and we were so glad that we chose him to be our JP! Pick Sal for your wedding!
When we got engaged, we thought the easiest part to planning our wedding was going to be securing our officiant. Boy were we wrong! Our family member that officiates weddings was booked, my colleague who is a justice of the peace on the side recently did not renew his license, the person my colleague recommended started working with us and but then randomly said they could not be available for our wedding. What a roller coaster! Then my husband's coworker recommended Sal Fiore.
We reached out and set up an in person meeting with Sal shortly after the recommendation. We figured we would get to the meeting, give a few demographic details and leave within a few minutes knowing we at least secured an officiant for our wedding. By the time we left Sal's house over an hour later, we were hooked! We could tell that Sal really loves the work he does and how passionate he was about helping our story, our desires, and love show through at the ceremony. He walked us through step by step offering guidance and suggestions until we had the perfect ceremony planned for early April 2020.
Then Covid-19 hit the state and all of our wedding plans were abruptly cancelled just a few weeks before our big day. As heartbreaking as that situation was, we could not have asked for a better Justice of the Peace to work through these uncharted waters. From the first teary eyed phone call asking about the possibility of rescheduling, to two reschedules and an elopement later, Sal was by our side through it all.
Sal took the time to help us adjust our ceremony plans accordingly to make the elopement day special, while still planning a vow renewal with “the big wedding” for late 2021. Our elopement ceremony in October with 10 masked and socially distant family members was better than any ceremony we could have asked for. Sal really made the ceremony special for us and every single guest commented on how fabulous he was. We give Sal “two thumbs up”, “10 out of 10”, 100%, A+, 5 stars! -

Sal is amazing and we would highly recommend him as a wedding officiant.
Right from the start it was clear that Sal loves what he does and goes above and beyond to make sure the whole process runs smoothly. When my husband and I first sat down with Sal he spent over two hours getting to know us, asking about how we met, and walking us through all fo the different options for the ceremony. We walked in a little unsure of what to do for the ceremony, but Sal patiently walked us through different ideas, giving us examples from other ceremonies and it made the whole process so much less daunting. With so many things to plan for the wedding, to have someone like Sal help you to distill all the ceremony options down in your first meeting was such a relief.
Between the first meeting and the ceremony, Sal stayed in touch with us to make sure everything was going smoothly and to check on our final decisions on the last details of the ceremony. It’s worth noting that when we met with Sal he was extremely transparent and told us he had another wedding on the same day, about an hour prior to our start time. He was confident he would have no issues as the other venue was nearby, but wanted to be upfront given our wedding was in the winter. We were confident that we wanted Sal to be our officiant so we pushed our start time by 15 minutes to ensure that he would make it. Not only did he make it on time, but he took the time to meet the bridal party, our parents and guide everyone through their parts of the ceremony.
After our wedding day, as usual friends and family told us what a great time they had, but a number of people commented on the ceremony and in particularly Sal. He definitely has a talent for customizing the ceremony to the couple and it made it so meaningful - and was noticed by others.
Throughout the entire process it was such a pleasure working with Sal and we would recommend him in a heartbeat. -

Sal was absolutely the best officiant we could have asked for!!! We immediately knew we wanted to hire Sal for our wedding after we first met him due to his personality and obvious knowledge of weddings and ability to tell what we wanted.
Sal was personable, the conversation flowed, and he was genuinely interested in how my husband and I met. He was interested in learning about us and our interests. On top of this, Sal went above and beyond to give us plenty of options when writing our vows and putting together our ceremony. He helped us to decide how to personalize our ceremony and added little touches to make it something more to remember. He was not pushy at all with his suggestions, and he had great examples for us to look at when building our ceremony.
Lastly, I absolutely loved how Sal worked our ceremony. He spoke loudly and clearly, and made the ceremony all about us! He told appropriate and funny jokes, and he knew how to tug at our guests heart strings.
Another plus? He stuck around and took some pictures that he posted on Facebook (after an appropriate amount of time) - they were our first “real pictures” that we saw!
I cannot speak higher of Sal! Book him for your wedding!!! -

The best officiant you can get!
We hired Sal to officiant for our wedding this past October. My husband and I were both nervous to hire someone for such an important role off of the internet, but as soon as we spoke to Sal we knew he would be the perfect person to marry us. He is friendly, funny and was able to make our ceremony truly our own by adding personalized touches. We spoke to him for about 2 hours to get to know each other and review all of our options for what type of ceremony we envisioned. We never realized how much effort & work it took to officiate a wedding. We were definitely happy we hired a professional with years of experience. He came to the rehearsal & thank god he did, he coordinated the whole ceremony and put everyone at ease about the next day. We received tons of compliments on how beautiful and perfect our ceremony was. A huge part of that was Sal. He made us all laugh, cry and truly be present throughout the entire thing. A crucial part of a wedding video is the voice over of the ceremony, Sals voice, flow and personality were ideal ! We would highly recommend using Sal as your officiant, he is truly talented at what he does and he’s fun to be around which makes the whole process that much more fun. -

Sal is an amazing JP that I would recommend to anyone! He officiated my sister's wedding and when I saw how helpful and accommodating he was to her and her husband, I knew that I wanted him to perform mine. He goes over every last detail with you to make sure that it is perfect for you and your spouse. My husband is in the Navy and was going to be home for the holidays so we decided to get married on our 6th year anniversary, 12/29/19. I cried multiple times during my ceremony because the words were so beautiful and meant so much. Sal is great at what he does and cares about each individual couple he marries. -

What we loved most about Sal was that he really focused on making our ceremony about US and what WE wanted- he was very flexible on adding, removing, and changing the order of components to the ceremony so it felt right to us.

Sal was so great to work with and one of our favorite vendors from our wedding. From the start, he went over all of our ceremony options in detail and never pressured us to include anything we felt didn't feel right for us. He was very patient as we sent a couple of ceremony edits back and forth and also had great recommendations on how to make our ceremony special and personal. He knew exactly what he was doing on the day of the wedding - making sure to coordinate details with the DJ, photographer and our wedding coordinator.
Guests told us all night how much they loved Sal and our ceremony. Looking back, my husband and I still say it was our favorite part of day! -

Sal was amazing! We were living in California when we were planning our wedding in Connecticut and he was flexible and worked around our schedule and distance. Sal is such an incredibly kind and welcoming person. He is so easy to work with and very personable. You can really tell that he loves what he does and he loves all of the couples that he works with!
Right from the beginning, Sal took the time to go over every word and detail of our ceremony to make it perfect. He has so many options to choose from to make your ceremony unique and memorable. He attended our rehearsal which was super important for us because we wanted the rehearsal to be a success (which it was!). On the day of the wedding, Sal was such a calming person to be around. He was prompt, prepared, and excited for us! He went over last minute details and made sure everyone knew what they were doing. In the end, our ceremony was completely organized and ran so smoothly.
Watching our wedding video back, we are so glad that we chose Sal. His voice is absolutely amazing on the audio. You will not be disappointed choosing Sal. He is totally worth it if you want a highly experienced officiant that is well respected in the area. -

Sal was wonderful to work with. From the very beginning he was organized and extremely helpful. We had a FaceTime conversation with Sal before moving forward and he made us feel much more prepared. An experienced, flexible, and affable officiant
Sal Fiore officiated our wedding at Pavilion on Crystal Lake on July 7th, 2018. In the whole lead-up to our wedding, Sal was extraordinarily communicative and helpful in providing us with different options to pursue in terms of our ceremony structure and the aspects we could consider including -- many of which we would have never heard of had he not shown us examples.
Once we had decided together on what would be included in the ceremony (we opted for a fairly simple ceremony with just a couple of readings and personal vows), Sal was again exceptionally responsive and flexible as my wife and I asked for changes (some big, some small) to the script, and we felt very sure that we would be taken care of on the day.
Sal’s affability and experience made him a special presence at the venue before the ceremony started. He communicated proactively with our day-of coordinator and took care of all of the different directions with our DJ, photographer, and videographer, making sure that our ceremony would go off without a hitch. In addition to that, he took time to chat with our family members and wedding party to get to know them and us just a little bit better before our big moment.
Once the ceremony began, Sal was amazing at “commanding the room,” and the whole production felt thoughtful, well-organized, and professional. The script was highly personalized, but Sal came across as well rehearsed and endearing. Our ceremony was one of the most (if not the most) complimented aspect of the day, and Sal’s professional guidance and execution were absolutely central to it all.

Sal was amazing! He spent over an hour with us on the phone when we first contacted him and then the very first ceremony reading he chose for us was perfect, we didn’t need to hear anything else. He asked us a lot of questions to get a feel for who we are and he nailed it. I cried lol. It was perfect for us. He sent us a copy to go over and make sure it was everything we wanted. He is very easy to talk to and before the ceremony he went over everything again. We had a small ceremony with just our friends so there was no rehearsal but we didn’t need one, everything was prefect, our friends even said they really liked the officiant that we had chosen. You can’t go wrong with Sal! -

We met with Sal after meeting with a few JPs, and within minutes of meeting with him we were sure we wanted him to officiate our wedding. He was very personable and the overall feel of his ceremony was just what we were looking for (relaxed, light, and sweet). The most memorable part of meeting with Sal was that he provided a complete overview of his ceremony as well as offered suggestions to make the ceremony personal to our story. While interviewing wedding vendors you typically do not know what you are getting until the day of the wedding or until the wedding is over. We really appreciated the time Sal took to walk us through each part of the ceremony, which guaranteed we would be receiving the ceremony we had always hoped for.
