These guys were fantastic!

Don and Kat were so great to work with. Don made our ceremony so heartfelt and special and he also has a great sense of humor. Kat’s pics were beautiful! I’m so excited that we chose them for our wedding!

Amazing & went smoothly

Don & Kath made everything about my ceremony go smoothly! My husband and I had our ceremony on the beach and we wanted a traditional ceremony with a runner, chairs, and an arch and Don was extremely accommodating and guided me the day before where to place everything and how the ceremony will flow. My pictures came out phenomenal! Kathy was really easy to work with and would tell me how to stand or look to get the best pictures! Thank you both for everything!

Let's Go Down to the Sea You and Me - Highly Recommend

Weddings With a Heart were par excellence in every respect. If you're having a beach wedding, engage with them!

Don is a brilliant wordsmith of the romantic sea, and Kat's photography is breathtaking, (You WILL love your photos, just buy them all). They are lovely, creative, professional people who definitely enhanced our wedding, and added to the magic of the day.

We are so grateful to them. They also offer the opportunity to add some very uniquely beautiful and spiritual elements to your ceremony. There is one in particular that we chose that we already cherish. We can't tell you what it is - it's a trade secret of theirs (shhh!). In tribute to their style of artistry, let me offer this, with an homage to Dr. Seuss, clearly a favorite of theirs (and ours).

Wonderful Experience

We highly recommend Don to anyone looking for a worry free and laid back officiant. He knew us right off the bat and helped mold our ceremony into a beautiful and fitting experience. Our guests are still talking about how perfect the ceremony was.

Absolutely Perfect! We used Donny Beach (yes that is the owner's name) for our elopement. What an amazing experience. We were able to plan everything within hour and the overall service took less than 1 hour. Donny and his wife did an excellent job with planning the ceremony with a beautiful sunset in the background. Great photos to go along with a very memorable service. FYI - in addition to being an officiant, he and his wife take excellent photos for the service.

Don and Kathy Beach officiated and photographed our wedding in September at Newport Vineyards in Rhode Island, and we could not be happier with their services! They were so personable and easy to work with! They were punctual and responded immediately to all of our questions and requests. Don did an incredible job officiating our ceremony. He made it so personalized and special for us. Kathy (as well as Don) truly captured the beauty, love and happiness of our special day in her photography. We began receiving digital prints within 2 days of our wedding, and had all of the digitals within 5 days. Their price was beyond responsible, especially for the quality of work that they do. We are so happy that we chose Weddings with a Heart. We will forever have priceless photographs of the most special day of our lives, thanks to them! <3

Donald was not only funny and laid back, him and his wife Kathy were so so helpful throughout our whole wedding process. They went above and beyond. They didn't only give us the coolest ceremony ever and take the most magical pictures on earth, they also helped us with the flowers and the location. Donald also gave us the BEST advice when I contemplated doing the typical large wedding by saying not to. He assured me that keeping it small was the best decision and boy was he right. Our small amount of guests had the time of their lives and so did we. We are so grateful for finding Donald and Kathy! You cannot go wrong!

Weddings With A Heart made wedding planning easy! Don Beach responded very quickly to all e-mail communications and was insightful in terms of where to hold the ceremony, where to eat and where to stay in the area.
On the day of the ceremony, Don made us feel very relaxed and at ease. He and his wife are wonderful photographers; they captured our special day perfectly and we are thankful to have such beautiful photos as keepsakes from our special day!

Donny and his wife Kathy made our special day very magical! We really could not have asked for a more perfect wedding ceremony. From the moment we spoke to Donny, we knew we had found our officiant. If you are looking for a small, affordable, intimate and genuine wedding -- then search no more! Their customer service is impeccable, and they were such a pleasure to work with. This pair demonstrates what society has seemed to forget... a wedding is about two people and their feelings for each other, not some fancy hor' d' oeuvres. Last but certainly not least, the photography was absolutely breathtaking. This couple deserves more than 5 stars!

Doing our wedding with weddings with a heart was the most magical experience ever...our elopement was exactly what we wanted and more. Thank you for making our wedding exactly what we dreamed of with every detail that we wanted for such an affordable cost. The pictures were beautiful and perfect as well and very unique from traditional wedding photos. I loved the entire experience and would recommend weddings with a heart all my life to everyone I know for there is no other wedding officiant and photographer that can capture such a special moment as you guys have. Don and Kathy were great to work with, they were very responsive during the planning stages and were able to give us the very laid back, casual ceremony we were looking for. Our pictures turned out great and it was definitely a good value for the cost considering how many pictures we ended up with!

We could not be happier with our experience with Don & Kathy, who made our Block Island wedding so easy, fun, and absolutely beautiful. Don was always prompt and so helpful each time I reached out via email or phone; he provided us with awesome options for our vows, ideas for venues, and was so flexible and accomodating leading up to the wedding. The wedding itself was everything I've ever dreamed of. Kathy was so professional and easy to work with, and her photographs were absolutely gorgeous. Don put us both at ease with his carefree, humorous style, at the same time making the ceremony so meaningful. The photos were fun and captured everything that we wanted and then some, and were ready very quickly, within days! I am so thankful and happy to have found Don & Kathy, and would highly recommend Weddings with a Heart to anyone. They are the best!

We absolutely loved working with Donnie and his wife in setting-up the wedding. The service was very small (me, my wife, & unborn son). It took a handful of emails and call to Donald to set-up all the details. He was the officiant and photographer, and his wife the additional photographer. For the price of an average wedding dress we got 1st class treatment. He recommended the place (perfect beach at sunset), prepared the ceremony (short & sweet), and recommended a local florist for my wife's flowers and a hair dresser for my wife. We got to the beach at 7pm, by 750pm we were married and off to our romantic dinner. For a very very modest price we got over 200 pictures documenting the blast we had. We loved every bit of the service and would definitely recommend the service.

Don was our officiant and his wife Kathy was our photographer. They were excellent. Don was always very prompt in responding to emails. They were extremely professional. Don gave us great options for vows etc. He also gave us the suggestion for our venue which worked out perfectly. Their prices were very reasonable. His wife Kathy did a great job with our photos and again the prices were very reasonable. She was also very professional and helpful and made us feel very comfortable, as did Don. Our ceremony / vows were exactly what we wanted. We would highly recommend Weddings with a Heart to anyone.

Everything about Wedding's With A Heart was extremely progressional. We had to plan the wedding from across the country and Don and Cathy made themselves readily available WHENEVER IT SUITED OUR NEEDS. I can't stress how important that was for our sanity :).

When we finally met Don and Cathy, they listened carefully to our artistic vision and asked pointed questions based on our concerns which showed that they were indeed listening carefully.

The day of the wedding they helped everyone stay calm in a traditional tense time when all sorts of things can go wrong. From Don's jokes and Cathy's key pictures, my wife and I felt very taken care of. I want to say that again. WE FELT TAKEN CARE OF. That's how you want to feel on your wedding day.

I recommend, especially if you are artistic and have a vision for your wedding,

We could not be happier with how our ceremony and pictures came out. Don really captured our personalities and it came through in our ceremony. He made everyone laugh and cry, it was absolutely beautiful and true to my husband and I's characters. They also did our photography and each picture perfectly reflect our awesome day. I truly don't know where to start.. But one thing I am sure of is words often fall short of meaning.. I've never writing a review on anyone because I'm not the best with words but Don surely deserves it.. I cannot begin to express how helpful and accommodating his services were.. Everything was last minute for me.. I had been postponing my marriage for a while now and it wasn't until I got orders overseas I snapped out of it.. I literally had days to get everything done.. I didn't want everything to appear to have just been thrown together.. Don covered all the bases.. Made sure I knew every aspect and then even when I was unsure that needed to happen next he executed.. The only thing I'm left with ate the most beautiful moments and pictures of my life.. I could ask for a better officiant or a better person to step in my time of need.. Needless to say; don and his wife have earned 5 stars.. If I could marry my wife again I would choose him..

Working with Don was a dream come true. When my fiance and I were planning our elopement to Newport we had hoped to find an officiant who would provide a beautiful, intimate ceremony mixed with a little humor and Don was the perfect choice! He had so many ceremony options for us to choose from and even allowed us to customize our choice for a ceremony that was completely "us." Also, we booked his wife Kathy to do our photography and the pictures she captured were amazing! We truly could not have had a better experience! Would book again in a heartbeat!

Weddings With A Heart was perfect for our simple intimate wedding. There was no stress involved at all. Less fuss.....More love! A few specific about them: they respond immediately to any question or request you may have. Speedy usually means minutes with them. In addition, they are very witty and carefree which makes the whole process very easy. They will accommodate any request you may have, and will adjust what they need to . For example, it was forecasted to rain and they offered to shoot pictures the next day . We also used them as my photographers. I was a bit weary at first because of the one stop shopping approach, but they will not disappoint. They captured who we were, and the important moments so beautifully. Once again the digital pictures were ready in hours! The wedding was meaningful and forever memorable!

Kat and Don are the absolute best photography team!!! They photographed not only our engagement photos, but our wedding photos as well. They put so much time and creative energy into their photography, and it shows with their final product. We felt so comfortable with them and they were fantastic with directing us without overly posing us. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and I would recommend them to everybody I know!

I contacted Donald to do our wedding, he was very responsive. He found us a better location to do our ceremony in Westerly RI, so that we would have more privacy and get better photos. We had a guest that was delayed and Don and his wife were flexible in taking some photos before the ceremony to allow for our guest to arrive. I am pleased with the services provided and they helped make it a very happy and special day for us. Also we have beautiful photos, which were sent to us very quickly!

Don and his wife were wonderful. We actually got rained out and they had no problem rescheduling for later in the weekend. It was the most wonderful day of our lives and will never forget how special they made it. And the photos were spectacular.

Don and his lovely wife, Kathy were the key to our wedding being beautiful, fun and stress-free, or as stress-free as a wedding can get. Lol! The photos are gorgeous and capture how happy and excited we were. I highly recommend a wedding by Don and Kathy Beach. My husband and I talk about how perfect our wedding day was. After searching for what seemed like months, we found Don's wedding site; the site’s vibe was good and we called. After talking it seemed like a good fit even though all of our pre-wedding communications were by phone or email. We had a place in mind for the ceremony, but Don suggested another nearby we had not thought of at all. We're VERY happy he did: it was far more beautiful. We planned this outdoor (non-beach) wedding. The weather leading up to the day was perfect, except the day we need it to be. It was to be at sunset and at 3pm, the heavens opened. Don and his wife were very patient as we located an alternate site. If they were stressed about it, they sure didn't show it.

About two hours or so before sunset, the rain stopped. The sky got a wee brighter, but still overcast. We were a go. But the rain - and the ensuing panic caused stress we sought to avoid. Arriving at the site, Don's presence was immediately calming and - depsite the rain, the wet grass, the droplets of water plunking down from old trees and the lack of umbrellas, he reminded us what we were there for. We prepared our ceremony using a potpourri of the many they share with their clients - along with a little bit of our own creativity thrown in. It was wonderful.

We also got the photography package, which worked well with our budget. Overcast skies do not help with lighting, but they did wonders with what they had. The photos blew us away and will forever remind us of how wonderful and glorious that rainy Sunday was.

We have been together 17 years - our wedding was but a legal formality. We weren't looking to have a hootenanny, with hoards of guests and drama. But merely going with a JP, or someone who would read a ceremony out of a book was something we thought would be disrespectful to the relationship we have and the journey we're on. The forces of the universe brought us to Don, and for that we shall be eternally grateful.

We were so pleased with the wedding and photography services from Don and Kathy Beach. My wedding was planned last minute and they were very quick with responding to my questions and requests in preparing the ceremony. My mind was blown with all the ceremony options. Such a wonderful surprise! I didn't think I would get to really put together such a meaningful ceremony so last minute, but their creativity and variety of options really made it very special and deeply sentimental.
I was overwhelmed with the photography services. We did not have the typical beach wedding that they normally provide so I didn't really know what to expect. We chose a park location under a giant oak tree. The photos are just incredible. Don and Kathy are very creative and have a fantastic ability to set up shots. They actually made the tree part of the wedding itself. They also worked well with our toddler daughter and dog that were part of the ceremony. Their photo art editing option made my photos a real masterpiece. The finished album that I put together was just way beyond anything I had imagined. Their overall genuine wonderful personalities, creativity and excellent client relations truly made my little last minute wedding a beautiful memory that will last a lifetime. They totally exceeding every expectation.

Last summer, Don performed a vow renewal for my husband and I. We had been married 18 years, and after going through a really rough patch had decided that we wanted to renew our vows. Newport had always been "our spot" so finding Don and Kathy was perfect! Don performed such a beautiful and personal ceremony on the beach, and Kathy took photos that are so incredible that they have replaced our original wedding photos! The whole experience was incredible and something we will never forget!

I highly recommend Don and Kat Beach for anyone who is wanting a romantic, fun, beautiful but simple wedding that will make memories for a lifetime. As soon as my husband and I met them, we immediately felt a connection and knew we made the right decision to get married at Oak Island, NC. Don and Kat were wonderful to work with. It is obvious that they really enjoy making couples' wedding day so special. Our photographs from that special day captured so many emotions and are beautiful. Almost 4 years later and we still remember our vows officiated by Don. We had the most romantic, fun and fantastic wedding on the beach in Block Island, RI by Don and Kathy. Communication was great in planning our event and they were very helpful. Working with Don and Kathy was hands the down THE BEST decision we could have made for our wedding! From the first email, Don felt like someone I had known for years. He was so friendly and reassuring regarding my (the bride) fear of taking photos since I generally feel so uncomfortable in front of a camera. After talking to Don on the phone for the first time, I can honestly say that I felt like it was fate that we found him and Kathy through an Internet search.

Don as Officiant:
He read our non-traditional vows beautifully, serious in all the right places and even sprinkled in some humor in others. Our guests very much enjoyed his style and commented on this later. Somehow, Don made us feel like we were there all alone with him even though we had our families a few feet away. Thank you Don for breathing life into the words we chose to unite us. You made those minutes last forever and rush by at the same time ☺.

Don/Kathy as Photographers:
Richard and I can’t begin to convey how much the stunning photos Don and Kathy took mean to us. Kathy’s shots before and during the ceremony (while Don officiated) were unobtrusive, inspired and beautiful. Don and Kathy’s teamwork after the ceremony was fun and energetic while at the same time relaxed. Don and Kathy directed everyone into group pictures without having people “pose”. They made suggestions for everyone in each shot and the results were natural looking group shots that everyone LOVED!

And finally, the private shots that Don and Kathy took of us…simply magical. All of our photos were so beautiful that we ended up buying all of them because they were all so different!

Finding an Officiant can be difficult, especially since you are busy planning so many other things. Don was a great find for my wedding! My husband and I desperately wanted to incorporated our children (from previous relationships) into our wedding, because we weren't just marrying each other but marrying families. Don was so much help with coming up with the perfect idea of how to do that. We also wanted our wedding to symbolize our fun nature, but also show proper respect to the commitment of marriage and he was perfect! He is quick to reply with answers to any possible questions, and is such a creative mind. He provided us with an astounding set of sample ceremonies to show us versatility and even helped us create one that was uniquely us. The Officiant and photo package was a great deal and one less thing to worry about. I can honestly say that he kept my worrying to a minimum, which for any bride is a true blessing! I would recommend Don to anyone who is looking for something special, unique, carefree, and memorable!

Where do I begin?! Don and his wife were absolutely wonderful to work with! Don did an excellent job accommodating all of the "elephants in the road" that occurred on our special day. We ended up changing the time and location of our ceremony last minute (seriously, like 30 minutes before our ceremony!), and they were more than happy to oblige! They even gave us $10 for gas so that we could get back to our hotel because we accidentally forgot our debit card in our hotel room! Ha! Really though, I can not say enough positive things about them they are truly great at what they do! :)

From the first conversation until the last we were very pleased with everything. Our wedding turned out beautiful. The ceremony was relaxed but still romantic. Nobody's perfect, but Don and Kathy Beach might be the exception to the rule when it comes to wedding ceremonies. Don served as the officiant at our wedding and he and Kathy took photos. We had a small ceremony with immediate family in a garden that has special meaning to us and our relatives. Our goal was to keep it simple, special and fun. Don and Kathy helped us make our wedding the experience we wanted. From assistance with crafting the ceremony to answering questions about logistics, they were both adaptable and responsive. They also applied their personal touch to the photography. Their enhanced and artistic images are beautiful and a wonderful reminder of our special day. Having an officiant-photographer team made planning easy, and we heartily recommend their services. If you're looking for personal service and professional photos at a reasonable price, contact Don and Kathy. We couldn't be happier with our choice.

Couldn't be happier with the way this turned out. Found Don and Kathy Beach through a web search, and the officiant/photography package appealed to me. We had a small ceremony out of state and as a compromise, had a reception a few days later. We wanted some photos from our ceremony without spending quite so much as we did on our photographer. Neither me or my husband is particularly religious, so we sought out someone who would be neutral. After contacting Don, he got back to me right away answering any questions, and once we spoke on the phone I knew he was the right choice. I'm interested in energy and healing, and learned don is also a Reiki master. He was always in touch if I had a question, and I was lost when it came to vows, but he came up with a great ceremony that was perfect for us. Everything was laid back and it felt like we'd met then before, they were so easy to be around and work with. Our photos came out beautiful and there were so many I loved I purchased all the images! Don and Kathy were amazing and I'm so glad we found them, our wedding day was exactly what I hoped it would be- about my husband and me, love, and our closest family there to witnesses and share in it. My new husband and I chose Don Beach and his lovely wife, Kathy, as our officiant and photographer for our wedding on Narragansett beach this past summer. What can I say except that they made our amazing day all the more wonderful! From our first contact with Don we couldn't have been more pleased. He reviewed all the different types of ceremonies with us and gave us exactly the type of ceremony we dreamed about. Our guests are still raving over how wonderful and special it was to have Don perform our wedding. His wife Kathy took some gorgeous pictures of us on the beach and captured the day fabulously! My husband and I got engaged the first part of 2010 and planned the wedding for September of the same year. Our dream wedding was a beach wedding and we live no where near a beach so finding the perfect officiant and photographer for our event was first and foremost, as well as a little stressful since we were planning the wedding in a state we didn't even live in. We did a Google search for beach weddings and looked at a few websites before coming to Don and Kat Beach's website where they offered their services of officiant AND photography for beach weddings. I sat for hours looking at ALL of the weddings they had performed and all of the absolutely BEAUTIFUL photos that were taken and literally cried at the love stories their pictures told. I looked at a few more websites after that, but couldn't get away from the pictures that I had seen and KNEW that I wanted this couple to help us with our wedding--to tell OUR love story. They were professional and super friendly, and our wedding was everything that we wanted it to be and more. It was THE BEST day of our lives and I, for one, could not quit smiling the entire day. I would recommend them, without reservation, to anyone looking to have the same experience!

Five stars is not enough. Our ceremony was on the cliff rocks at their Tuckerman residence...what a perfect setting for a wedding! Don and Kathy are exceptional people and hosts. My partner and I can't stop talking about how we couldn't imagine our ceremony being any better. Don officiated the wedding with so much sincerity and Kathy's photos were amazing. They are lovely people and created a unique and special day we will never forget.

If I could rate them higher, I would! They were AMAZING!!! I would reccomend them to anyone wanting to have an intimate, fun, special, beautiful wedding! My husband and I could not have been happier with Don Beach and his officiant/photographer team. He was very flexible, even when it looked as if it were going to storm on our beachfront wedding ceremony. Lots of beautiful pictures we will enjoy for years to come. We did the entire ceremony and photo session in 45 minutes, due to the impending storm. Absolutely could not have asked for a better officiant/photographer team!

Kathy did a wonderful job with our pictures. My wife and I do photography as a hobby and have done a wedding for a freind before. I love being on the back side of the camera and hate being in front of one. Kathy and Don worked with my wife and I and got some great shots.

Don (Donald) Beach and his wife were absolutely amazing to have for Officiant and photographer. From the moment I had chosen Don to be the person who would be reading my wife's and I ceremonial script to our close friends and relatives, he was super responsive, easy to work with, flexible, thoughtful, and helpful.

I easily recall more than 5 or 6 times where I would send an email or text out to Don and would receive a response several seconds later.

After my wife and I had requested to Don that we knew the spot we wanted for the ceremony, we changed it last minute, and Don was very accommodating and very malleable to the new plans we told him.

Bouncing off the last comment, he was able to recommend different areas and locations to help best suite what we wanted to have originally while showing us the pros and cons and taking into account multiple variables, such as weather and such.

In person, Don surpasses the aforementioned comments stated above and was very professional to work with whilst having a very charismatic and captivating personality who could make you laugh while being teary.

All around he was a great Officiant and I would recommend him to anyone.

Fantastic service, awesome people, was available by phone or internet anytime before and after the ceremony for questions or concerns. Just upgrade your photo book I was not 100 percent happy with mine but could have been avoided with asking the right questions. Overall I was extremely pleased with there service and would defiantly use them for future needs.

Perfect for a small wedding

Don and Kathy were fantastic. Don is funny and warm (and a Master of Dad jokes), and Kathy was a sweetheart. They helped make our wedding day even easier (we really wanted it to be the easiest wedding ever, magically, it actually was), and they were so on top of things that when there was a gas outage in Newport they made sure we had talked with the venue and had all our guests covered since many places were without heat. The pictures came out wonderful (you can barely tell we're freezing to death in the outside ones!) and we couldn't have been happier!

We very much appreciated the services of Don and his wife. Their humor relaxed the wedding party, but they still preserved the solemnity of the event. Although we ended up buying all the photos, it would have been nice to have had the option to self- select the original 25 photos.

Very Pleased with the Officiant Services for our Destination Vow Renewal

Don Beach with Weddings from the Heart was recently hired to officiate our 25th Wedding Anniversary Destination Vow Renewal in Newport, Rhode Island. Though he was selected by our venue as part of an elopement package that we booked with them, we were very happy with the choice. Mr. Beach and his wife were quick to respond to our inquiries whether by phone, email, or text. We found Mr. Beach to be professional but also personable as well as informative, offering us a website with sample ceremony scripts he had written so that we could get a better idea of the sort of renewal we wanted. When we decided to write our own script and our own vows, he was completely open to our choices. He was willing to read everything we sent him and conduct the ceremony to our liking, even though it included some personal touches that made it a bit longer than the average elopement ceremony. As the big day approached, he was flexible with both location (we wanted an outside renewal but were not sure it would be possible until the eleventh hour due to weather instability) and timing, offering to adjust his schedule to accommodate an earlier or later start time in case of rain. Mr. Beach conducted our ceremony with just the right blend of sincerity and jocularity which allowed us to have a renewal that was both poignant and fun. Both he and his wife were very kind to us, complimenting our selections for the readings and working to send us some footage that we requested they film of the day. There did seem to be a bit of misunderstanding about his fee and who would be paying it since it was part of the package we had purchased through the venue. Apparently his price was a bit above their average officiant allotment, but, since they had chosen him, they agreed to pay the difference. In our opinion, he was worth the money, and we would not hesitate to hire him a second time if we had the chance to do it all again.
