My daughter's ceremony music was very straightforward. There was a guitarist playing during the seating of guests and a vocalist with guitar for one song during service. This all went fine. The part that was not handled well -- when the wedding party was standing in the vestibule waiting to begin the processional, there was no music. It went on for an awkward full minute. Our wedding coordinator was on her head mic trying to get it going. The next big mistake he made was when the bride and groom were announced at the close of the ceremony. The recessional music was to start immediately as they stepped down off the raised platform. Nope. The bride and groom were four or five steps down the aisle when their carefully selected recessional song began playing. So wrong. It was a big deal and obvious. It was so disappointing considering this was the sound guy's only job. I believe for $300 he should have come to the rehearsal for 30 minutes and become acquainted with the music and when to push play. It just shouldn't have been that complicated. And, I was assured he was very good and knew what he was doing when I asked about his attendance at the rehearsal.
